Asus Live 4.0 Beta3

Hello everyone! The newly released Live 4. 0 Beta3 is supposed to work with my V3400TNT/TV card under W2k. But it doesn´t! Anyone any idea? The Video Capture-Driver isn´t installed correctly,either! I just get an unknown Device with assigned IRQ11 in Device-Manager.

Winver says that I have build 2195. But in cd there is i386\win9xupg -folder file win9xupg. inf where is: DriverVer=11/30/1999,5. 00. 2191. 1 What this mean, can anyone tell me??.

Hello all does anyone know of a software package that records video using a cam (as supposed to a usual video source) under Win 2000? I have an Intel USB Video Camera III but can find no software to use it to record.

How to permanently remove "links" in favorites?

Hi, Does anyone know how I can remove the links item in the favorites menu? When I delete it, explorer 5 just adds it back the next time I start explorer. Also the my documents item is kinda annoying but I cant seem to remove them.

3dmarks in WIN 2000 are low

Unrealistic
I scored a 5100 with my system in WIN98, so I decided to load 3dmarks2000 and give it a shot while I have WIN2000 loaded. 2848 is what I scored. I went from a 5100 in WIN 98 to a 2848 in WIN2000. Of course every driver on my WIN 2000 is practically beta still.

PageFile Optimization and Info?

Hi all, Can the Pagefile become fragmented? and if so what is the best way to optimize it? Also what is a good value for the pagefile using 512MB of RAM? Is a value of 2000 too much or too little? Thanks!!

How to install Win98 under Win2K?

Hi, This question has probably been answered before, but I couldn't find anything with the search. I currently have Win2k Pro final installed on my c: drive. Now I would like to install Win98 on my d: drive (because I cannot use my scanner in Win2K ).

Random screen corruption playing AVI or MPGs

Occasionally I get total screen corruption(unusable) using Media Player on 2000 Pro while playing AVI/MPG files off the *cough* Disney news group on 2000. I've seen it happen on both my home and work PC, which ironically are both using Voodoo3 cards.

W2K Constant Disk Access

I've reinstalled W2K five times now. Each time after 2-3 days of use my primary SCSI drive begins constantly accessing itself for no reason. I look at the task manager and no processes are being used.

Hi, When I surf the net I very often right-click on a link to open it in a new window. When I used Netscape in Win NT and 98, Navigator remembered the size of the previous new window. For example, if I always maximized the new window, eventually Navigator would automatically maximize new windows.

I wasn't sure weither to post this in apps or games so i'll put it in both. Theres an app in the support folder on the win2k cd, apcompat. exe, that from what i see can let you choose to install the program so that it thinks its in win98/95/NT4.

Hi there! In the last weeks some people seemed not to get WinOnCD 3. 6 working under Win2000. I have had already posted a possible solution: a registry fix that disables the ASPI driver that comes with WinOnCD 3.
