So I download'et the 83 mb SP1 and installed it and it crashed my computer. When it booted it complained about inaccesible boot device! I found that the problem was because of FAT 32 / NTFS. So I reinstalled first win98 (my win2k is a upgrade!), installed win2k og finaly win2k SP1.

Nedd some opinions on these free anti-virus programs

Ok I was wondering out of AVG 6. 0 antivirus and InnoculateIT person edition, which one you guys would deem better. I know both are free, I also know that both are Win2k compatible. I know avg 6. 0 scans email but I dont think InnoculateIT does.

Possible Win2k SP1 Problem

Notice the word possible here. I've been experiencing a problem with file systems which only seem to have started since I applies SP1. Over my two HD's I have 3 encrypted folders. 2 on my main C drive and 1 on my D drive.

i can't install this program with win2000pro. when i open the setup. exe program the program opens with the install wizard will guide you to. . . until 99% and then the computer will read the CD for a while then the setup program justs closes.

SP1 and BlackICE

After installing SP1 I keep getting a filter faild error with blackICE I was using a 2. 1 something version but I just updated to the newest 2. 1. cl and I am still getting this error. Anyone beside me running into this?.

Eudora anyone?

I used to use Eudora on Win98, before I got a hold of Win2K Pro. After W2K install, I installed Eudora 4. 3. 2 and it would crash my whole system on startup. I then tried to uninstall, reinstall, copy old files over, all kinds of sh*t, to no avail.

Well I having problems getting my sound system to be recognized so that I may train the program. I have a SBlive Value and am running Liveware 3 for win2k. When I try to run the trainer the program tells me that my sound system is not compatible.

I installed WINDOWS 2K after Windows 98 se, so every thing work good. . . Now i would like ton install WINDOWS ME at the place of WINDOWS98 se, i think if i do that, i will lose my dualboot and that i would use my windows 2000 anymore.

ATI Radeon $ DVD Player

I just got A ATI Radeon 32DDR. When I try to watch a DVD the ATI player doesnt play it just sits there no error. I have A Dxr3 card in the machine as well, Creatives DVD player works great. Are they conflicting? The reason I kept both card in the PC is because the 32 DDR Radeon doesnt have TV out Any thoughts? Ned.

Ok I have been running WindowsME final release for 2 weeks now and by all accounts its ok, it crashes much less than win98 and seems a little faster especially the boot times but one thing that is pissing me off is that it leaks memory like a fiend.

Ahh yes, the wonderful service pack 1 has arrived. The cure all to any Win2k problem. Well just so happens that after I install it, my TCP/IP stack just goes to hell. I can sign on, but I can't do anything online.

here is the situation: When i download something quickly (for me)(e. g. >5kb/s) and at the same time trying to open a page with many pictures almost half of the pictures don't open (an x insted). If i stop the download and i only refresh the page, the pictures open just fine.

I have the option of installing Windows²ººº Professional or Windows²ººº Server. . . The real question is, what increased functionality could I find in Server over Professional, or, Server over Professional.
