Pagefile reported incorrectly

Fresh install of 2000 on a new Dell computer. system properties says that the pagefile is set to a minimum of 382MB and a max of 768 MB. A quick property check of the actual file confirms the size to be 382 MB.

can't install win2k

My system is a k6-2 400, 64mg ram, biostar motherboard based on ali chipset, viper 770, mx300 soundcard and an old generic lan card. I have tried installing by booting the cd, it loads all the drivers it needs and such but it just hard locks when it says setup is starting windows 2000.

The ATI tv tuner software does not work in Windows NT4. . . . . is there any 3rd party software to enable watching TV on the monitor using the ATI All-In-Wonder Pro (128)? If so, what is it and where can I get it?.

Add remove windows components broken.

Im trying to add ftp services to iis through the add/remove windows components and the dialog just shuts down no error or anything. At first I figured problem installing ftp but then I tried to add another component and it shut down again.

Removal of SP1 Installation Backup Files?

Back in the Win95/98 days, there was an option to remove the backup files for pre-SP installations in the Add/Remove Programs area incase something went wrong. There is no option for the just release SP1 for Windows 2000.

Ok, let me get this out of my system. Had a lan party, Kid installed office 10 on my machine w/o telling me. I found it and tied to get rid of it because it is illegal, yes i know it is illegal, i am stating that right now.

Removing things from sys tray

I was curious as to how you can remove things from the sys tray in win 2k. I know how to do it in 98 and Me, but its not quite the same. I know if you go into system information it will tell you what is starting up in the sys tray, but there isnt any way to remove the things from that list.

somehow, someway in Windows, I cannot remember how. But there is a way that I can use rundll32. exe to shutdown my computer. It's like rundll32. exe DllSchemeShutDown or something like that. . . . anyone know?.

Locking a computer without seeing it's locked

Hi. . Anyone who know of a way of application that can lock a Windows 2000 workstation after ex. 10 mins, but not displaying any 'Computer is locked' or the likes, until a key og mouse is pressed. The idea is to have a computer showing networkstatus to everybody, but we want the computer to be locked.

Well is it? Now and then I have the annoying problem that when downloading (form ex. Idrive) I have four files running at 3-5 k/s, and that is nowhere near half my line capacity. SK.

Greets all, I've got 2x30gb IBM's set-up on a Raid 0 with a 16k block, then formatted into 2x 30gb partitions (1xWinMe (Fat32) 1xWin2k (NTFS)), they were formatted using the format z:32 option for optimal performance.

I'm tired of looking at items that I typed out months ago. . . Is there a way I can remove the entries that pop up on webpages(say if I search for motherboard on ebay, come back weeks later, and type M, it will bring that up)? I just want to start over.
