After the installation process, a small icon appears in the system tray. A double click on that icon opens WinTasks Professional. However, you can also start WinTasks directly from the start menu.

The processes list is more detailed as in Windows taskmanager. You see there the process icon which describes the 4 different levels (low, normal, high and real-time) of process priority, the name of the process which is often the name of the executable, the location where the program is stored, CPU/MEM usage, and the creation time of the process.

With the icons at the top you can stop, increase or decrease the priority of a process, search for processes, refresh, start processes, or print all information’s out.

A click on “Autostart” opens the autostart window.

In the autostart window, all programs are shown that are starting when the machine is booting. You can enable/disable or add/remove there a program from the registry.

Under “Windows” you can see all of the windows owned by the selected process. You can close, maximises, normalises, minimises or show/hide windows.

Another great feature is “Modules”. You see there a list of all DLL’s which are used by a specific program.
