AMD released the Ryzen 7 7700X3D processor to deliver strong gaming frame rates and solid power efficiency at a $330 price point. Motherboard evaluations highlight the ASRock X870E Taichi White for its premium build and white aesthetic, while the MSI MAG Z890 Tomahawk Wifi II sacrifices some initial features to lower the retail cost. Power supply comparisons reveal the Fractal Design Ion 3 Gold 1000W as a cost-effective alternative to the Seasonic FOCUS GX-1000 since both units share identical internal components and performance specs. Storage reviews praise the Kioxia Exceria Pro G2 and Zhitai TiPlus 9100 for delivering fast PCIe Gen 5.0 speeds at competitive market prices using advanced controller technology.

TechPowerUp: AMD Ryzen 7 7700X3D Review

The AMD Ryzen 7 7700X3D delivers fantastic gaming performance thanks to 3D V-Cache. Priced at $330, it offers more FPS than the Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus, at a similar price point. Energy efficiency is impressive with low temperatures, making it an strong choice for gamers wanting high-tier CPU performance without breaking the bank.

TechPowerUp: ASRock X870E Taichi White Review

The mighty ASRock Taichi returns with a snazzy white color scheme, 10 Gbps Ethernet and a larger BIOS, but does this imposing EATX motherboard offer the same impressive bang for your buck as its predecessor when compared to the latest competition?

A small step backward compared to the original, but less expensive (on sale) and more competitive.

APH Networks: Fractal Design Ion 3 Gold 1000W Report

How many ways are there to do something? A few years ago, I went to Dallas, Texas for a work trip. One of my friends decided to make the trip at the same time so he can stay with me in my hotel -- which is conveniently a suite with multiple bedrooms -- for free. Now, the problem with flying non-stop from Calgary to Dallas is expensive for the distance traveled. American Airlines is the only airline that flies this route, so they charge about $1000 CAD round trip for the 4-hour flight no matter when you book. Flights with one stop from competing airlines are not significantly cheaper, and the schedules for those are simply terrible. The ticket price was not an issue for me as a business traveler, but for my friend who was traveling recreationally, it just seemed like a bad deal. Just as he was about to cancel his travel plans, I made an alternative itinerary suggestion: Fly to Houston instead, and drive to Dallas. A non-stop round-trip flight to Houston from Calgary can be purchased for as low as $300, and since he was going to rent a car anyway, it was just the cost of gas and a few hours on the road. He decided that was indeed a good plan, so he went with it, and the trip was a resounding success. As it can be seen, we can always be a little bit creative to do what we want to do while saving money, all without breaking any rules. In a similar way, if you want to buy a 1000W Seasonic Gold PSU in 2026, you could fork over $190 to get the FOCUS GX-1000 ATX 3.1 1000W. Alternatively, you can pick up the Fractal Design Ion 3 Gold 1000W, which is quite literally the same thing inside -- other than the fan model -- for $30 less. How is this possible? Are there catches? Read on to find out!

Club386: Kioxia Exceria Pro G2 review: an all-round excellent SSD

Consistently delivering flagship speeds, but with comparatively low temps, and a fair price in today's market, the Exercia Pro G2 is a marvellous PCIe Gen 5.0 SSD.
