The Sony VAIO F Series is a 16.4-inch laptop that's loaded with features and offers good performance. It has a 1080p HD screen, a Blu-ray player, a speedy Intel Core i7 CPU and 6GB of RAM. You'll get good, playable graphics performance, but the keyboard and touchpad hold this laptop back from being the best-of-the-best.

XSReviews has a new review of the HIS 6950 IceQ 2GB graphics card

Today we're looking at the HIS 6950 IceQ. It's HIS's take on a regular 6950, featuring a custom PCB and cooler. Running at the same speed as a reference card, there won't be much performance improvement until we begin overclocking, where the custom cooler with its massive fan should come into play. Let's see how it performs.

Patriot Pyro SE 120GB Solid State Drive Review
eTeknix.com posted a review on the Patriot Pyro SE 120GB Solid State Drive

Patriot are a brand that are getting more and more recognition lately, but still not as much as we think they should. They have started to focus more on Solid State Drives opposed to memory, and this is a good move, if you have the right products in your catalogue, and simply put, Patriot do.

You may remember that we looked at the Pyro 120GB SSD from them a little while ago, and we honestly thought it was a great product that offered performance to the general consumer and at a good price point too. If you can offer a product that has great performance and is cost-effective, then you simply have a great all-round pitch.

Whilst the Pyro is a great SSD, for the enthusiast, there was a slight let-down in the fact that it uses asynchronous flash memory, which can hinder performance, mainly in benchmarks which is what an enthusiast user is focussed on, though for real-world usage, you are unlikely to see much of a difference at all, if any.

Arctic MC001-BD Media Center Review
techPowerUp posted a review on the Arctic MC001-BD Media Center

Arctic has been diversifying their product range greatly in recent years. While their foray into some things like toys or gaming consoles may be a bit too far fetched for some, the MC001-BD Media Center takes the company back to the roots. The Home Theater PC offers all the bells & whistles like Blu-Ray, USB 3.0, Intel Atom in combination with Radeon Mobility graphics and much, much more, while managing to cool the entire system passively. Antec 1100 Chassis Review
OCC has published a review on the Antec 1100 Chassis

Taking a look at the sides, I'm quite happy. Personally, I love chassis with large windows - I like to show off my running hardware, even when it isn't all that impressive. On the Eleven Hundred, the window takes up over half the side panel in width and nearly the full size in height. It also includes two pre-drilled 120 mm fan spots for the addition of your own fans and aid cooling without hampering the view too much. The other panel behind the motherboard tray has a single 120 mm fan location for cooling from the back. This is perhaps one feature that most chassis still don't provide today. It's a simple addition and placing a fan here should bring your temps down even more.

X79 / Z68 / 990FX CrossFireX HD 6970 x3 Performance Analysis
TweakTown posted X79 / Z68 / 990FX CrossFireX HD 6970 x3 Performance Analysis

The bottom line all along has been that you're not going to see any improvement in video card performance unless you're hitting a CPU limitation. With how intensive games are these days, hitting a CPU limitation becomes harder and harder - even more so when you start to throw ultra-high resolutions into the mix.

Today we'll be looking at the performance of our X79 platform with the three Sapphire HD 6970s on hand. Because there's not a lot more that needs to be said, we can really just get into the testbed side of things and cover that quickly before we get into the performance side then wrap everything up.

The cooling potential is phenomenal and includes 5 X 140mm fans and 3 X 230mm fans with plenty of room to add a lot more. Sapphire 6670 1GB Single Slot Review
PureOverclock has published a review of the Sapphire 6670 1GB Single Slot graphics card.

The Sapphire Radeon 6670 (Single Slot) is a modest card: low-power, passively cooled, and marketed to consumers who may be interested in something for their HTPC or the occasional foray into some light gaming. It packs a bit of horsepower, but runs quiet and power frugal, and it's the only single slot version out there; no other company has one of these except Sapphire, so we have a rather interesting combination to offer here to consumers. Let's take a closer look at the Sapphire Radeon 6670 1GB single slot card and see how it fares.
