t-break takes a quick look at the LG PB60G Projector

Projectors have always attracted a niche audience. Ifor home users, you’ll generally only find enthusiasts (like myself) that have a projector setup along with a dedicated wall to show it on while many business users have stopped carrying projectors for presentations as venues usually have a large screen TV with DSUB or HDMI to connect their laptop to. I doubt they will ever become mainstream- but thats not to say that there won’t be an audience for them. We look at the LG PB60G today and see if it has what it takes to attract an audience.

Packaged in a small little cardboard box, the LG PB60G comes with a remote control, a carrying case and a VGA cable right away suggesting that the Projector is intended more towards a business user than a home user. If you are a business user than carries a projector, then you’ll be happy to know that the LG PB60G measures a paltry 158x103x33mm and weighs 450g which will certainly be easy on your shoulders.

The front of the unit has the lamp while the left side has the focus ring to get the best picture. On the back, you have all sorts of connections such as AV (for standard definition video), VGA/DSUB and HDMI covering pretty much all your video needs. A 3.5mm stereo output jack is also present if the built-in speakers feel underpowered. Other than the video connections, you have the power connecter and a USB port that you can use to stream media from.
