At some point during the past few years, I decided I was going to throw away my engineering degree to pursue a career in education instead. I knew one of my biggest weaknesses was going to be classroom management, since I never liked being the person who yells at a group to tell them to be quiet! I had a few chances to work with an after-school program recently, and that weakness of mine became very obvious. If the students were well-behaved, I had no issues, and it was an enjoyable time. However, I had one group with students who were always talking over me when I was trying to explain an activity. I do not know why, I just did not have it in me to yell at the group to be quiet! Luckily, I was not alone, and my more experienced coworkers were there to bail me out. To my surprise, the company was willing to hire me for a summer position where I would have to manage a group of around fifteen students on my own. Combining it with the summer heat, I might experience a mental boom. I may not be the best at getting a group of students to be quiet, but at least I can try to get my computer to be quiet with the help of the be quiet! Pure Rock Pro 3.
