Received the follow messages: 1) Game does not install under NT 4.0. Can get around this by installing the game under Windows 95/98, then copying the game's installation directory over to a NT partition/directory. Once this is done it runs fine. 2) http://www.ssionline.com/support/17.html

Installs and starts fine (besides the usual trouble that it doesn't care for the set screen refresh rate, but that happened to me with W95 also..); However, upon zooming out the main map it inevitably crashes. ..tested with W2k SR-2 DX7.0; Matrox Mil-8 (G-200)

Copied contents of entire CD to harddrive. Set setup.exe to run in Windows95 compatibility mode. Game normally detects WinNT, but using this it does not. Fully installs just fine. Then you have to set the game itself to Win95 compatibility mode to get it to run. I'm running WinXP Pro.

Tried the old "copy to your hard drive" and "compatibilty" tricks but the game still crashes when I try to zoom.

It seems that the crashes when zooming out while running on XP are due to naval units that are awaiting orders. I've found that if I've given them orders while zoomed in (move, defend, blockade, etc) then I can zoom out OK.

Once naval units have orders, you can zoom out OK.

Hope this helps!
