PC Power and Cooling Silencer Mk.III 1200W Power Supply Review

Posted by Philipp Esselbach on: 08/21/2012 09:50 AM [ Print | 0 comment(s) ]

HardwareHeaven.com posted a review on the PC Power and Cooling Silencer Mk.III 1200W Power Supply

Founded in 1985 PC Power and Cooling (part of the OCZ group) have more than a few firsts to their name. They have for example produced the first independently-regulated PC power supply, the first redundant power system, the first NVIDIA-certified SLI supply and the first One Kilowatt computer power supply with the company roots starting in cooling fans.

Back in November we took a look at one of PC Power and Coolings Silencer MK.3 600w PSU and found it to be a good product for that segment of the market; no surprise given our past experience with the brand. Now they are ready to launch a new high end model and we have one on our test bench.
The Silencer Mk.3 1200w is PC Power and Coolings highest rated model, matching the ageing Turbo-Cool 1200w at the top of the product catalogue. Today we find out if it has what it takes to compete at the high end of the PSU market.
