Nero problems

I know this topic has been covered, but I could not find a solution that worked for me. I have win2k final. I have installed the latest ASPI per previous posts. After installing Nero and rebooting, when trying to run Nero 4.

DVD-ROM Drives

I'm not asking for help in getting one working (yet!) Rather, I'm asking for opinions on performance/price of drives that are available. I currently have 3 SCSI CD-ROMs: Plextor 12X, Ultra 40X, and 8/20X CDR drives.

Direct 3d support for Riva 128 ZX card

Can anybody help me? I've got my STB velocity 128 card installed and runnig win2k rc2. Everything is working properly except missing direct3d support for my card. I know nvidia relased several drivers for tnt and higher models but nothing for my old riva.

hi everyone. i have a question regarding partition programs and win2k. i know partition magic 5 does not install in win2k (i've already tried). so, what i want to know is if there is a partitioning program out there that can support ntfs5 and allow me to change/create partitions.

Hey i was wondering if someone would clear this up for me. . . I heard that there is a new version of directx on the win2k retail? I think i heard that this is version 7, and works for both OS's (streamlined) the directx i have for wink 2k now is 7.

Windows 2000 Server rocks!!

I received our copy of W2K Server at work today and let me tell you this OS rocks. I have Linux running my companies web and ftp servers but after installing and testing W2K server I must say that MS has done a great job.

Mixer Icon missing!

I went through the Liveware 3 installation for Win2k (The one by Anthony Toste), and after it didn't work, tried to return to the old Win2k Basic WDM drivers. The sound is working again, but that little speaker button which usually sits beside the clock at the bottom right hand side of the screen is gone.

USR Sportster 128 ISDN how?

I got my Win 2000 installed and it is great but I cannot manage to install my ISDN adapter. I know I had this working in one of the Betas. Anyone have any suggestions? Any and all help is appreciated.

Win2k and Linux

I have a Linux server, and I used to connect my windows computer to this server using SAMBA. But I can't seem to get it working with Win2k professional, does anybody know how to get this working? With win9x I had to change something in the registry but with win2k this option does not excist in the registry.

Xerox Docuprint P8 drivers for 2000?

Hi, I have a Xerox DocuPrint P8 laser printer and want to add it to my NT2000 network, but I don't find any drivers for it. Does anyone have a place where I can get drivers for it or a work around? Xerox tells me they're not going to support them under 2000!.

I see they are rolling out a Live!ware for W2K but look at all the crap features it has. I would rather use my hacked up drivers with a better live!ware product than going back to live!ware 1.

someting really pisses me off: i like nero a lot but also directCD (don't care bout resources). I DON'T want to mess with EZCD but direct CD is (on purpose?)incompatible with NERO! s$#t.
