complete lockup

lockup part whatever. . . dear billy, aka MS, it seems that alot of us are having trouble with various configurations of win2k and coresponding hw locking up. current setup: asus K7M, athlon 600, 256 Ram, adaptec u2w scsi, ibm 18gb 10k, geforce 32ddr.

Gear 4.4 & Yamaha 4260= No recorder unit found

Anyone having problem with Gear 4. 4 Multimedia - Pro using Yamaha 4260 SCSI in Win2k? It reported No recorder unit found after scanning the SCSI port. I'm using the latest ASPI drivers and Easy CD creator has no trouble getting the drive at all.

I have an Athlon 650 on a k7 pro running a Geforce SDR card under win2k. I like mostly everyone else with a similar setup experience frequent lock-ups on the desktop. This is what I am trying now. I used the nv4_mini.

Star Wars Rogue Squadron Joystick Problem

It was recently reported on this site that Star Wars Rogue Squadron works under Win 2000. I can get the game to run on my machine with a Voodoo 2 and Glide drivers, but the joystick will not work in the game.

Computer freezes when screen saver kicks in

When I had a basic S3 3d video card (8megs)agp I never had this problem, since installing a voodoo 3 3000 agp, whenever the screen saver kicks in my computer will freeze completely. There is nothing I can do but reboot (and when I do I have boot up problems).

I was surprised that i ran win2k for 8 days straight without any problems. But lately, it would reboot and go into standby mode randomly. I disabled standby mode in the properties tab, but still I get random standby's and reboots.

Unreal Tournament works great!

I've seen so many complaints here that i thought I'd post a positive message for once! I just got Unreal Tournament, and I couldn't believe how well it run under Win2K! No jerking or anything. It run much better than Q3 in win98 (no, I havent tried Unreal in Win98 yet, maybe it will be even better there than Q3).

I'm using a 64K ISDN to dial my ISP. When I'm playing games over the internett I get a huge lag/packetloss every ~1min, and it lasts ~5 seconds. This is really annyoing, and it doesn't happen in Win98.

I have been using Windows 2000 Build 2195 for a few months now (without dual boot), and I just ordered PacBell DSL. I want to know if anyone who has PacBell DSL can get their modem to work with win2k (basically will i have to re-install win98).

ATI Rage Fury 32 Win2k Drivers
