New CL TNT2 Driver for Win 2K Release ver?

I saw an updated driver for my CL 3d Graphics Blaster (TNT2 Value, M64) so I dl'ed and installed it. It appears to be incompat with Win 2K RC2. Now I have to reinstall OpenGl since it was trashed by the upgrade.

What causes this error? I was reinstalling Flight Sim 2000 It asked me to put cd 2 in the drive, once i ejjected my cd, i got that blue screen error, ahd to reboot. Very irrating BoDEAN.

Thief and Pure 3d 2

I snagged the pure 3d2 drivers for my Canopus video card. . . however Thief apparently doesn't recognize them. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a different driver that I can use and if so where can I find it?.

Ok this has been driving me crazy. I didn't think it was possible to have directx 7a running in windows 2000. However, several people have said that their directx diag says they are running 7a. Mine only says 7.

AIC-7890 SCSI major problems in Win2k

Morning ppl =) Have som major problem with my onboars AIC-7890 scsi thing on my ASUS p2b-s mobo. First of all. When I reboot and the Win2k splash screen appears it talks with the cd-rw (Yamaha CRW4416SX) for like 1 min or longer.

File Recovery / Undelete for Win2000

Greetings. I personally like to disable the Recycle Bin and just keep an undelte utility on hand for major slip-ups. Under Win9x Norton handled this task perfectly but I am having a problem finding a really good file recovery tool for Win2k.

AMD CPU's and Win2k

Everytime I check the CPU speed in any program, including MS System Info, they report it to be running at 266 or 226 mhz instead of what it really is running at, 450 mhz. Could this possibly be affecting the performance of the system or any of the applications I may run? Or is it just some screw up the MS geeks did ...

I've a problem when I'm under W2k on my laptop: the APM freeze the cpu each 2 secondes. Under win98 I've solved this problem by removing the APM in the device manager. How can I do the same in windows 2000?.

It is listed as a compatable game under however, even with the latest patch (for the game and the NT 5 patch for my Voodoo 3 3000) the game doesn't start. It just doesn't respond. I used apcompat. exe to tell the game it was on a different version of Windows, but nailed me on the MSVCRT.

Pctel v.90 56 Modem in Win2000?

Looking for someone who might have some info on getting a PcTel V. 90 PCI modem working with Win2000? I have an AMS roadster laptop and it won't recognize the on board modem, but it does find a device called XT Serial but I can't do anything with it.

Thief--don't get any sound under Win2K

Thief runs fine under win2K, but there's no sound. I'm using Win2K Pro, build 2195 with the drivers that installed from the CD. Half-Life and most everything else I try has sound. Should I install those leaked Creative drivers? I've searched all these forums and the Thief forums to no avail on this.

Anyone have the problem under w2k where when in quake 3 if you turn on a3d you cant hear your self moving or firing, you can only some times hear the others firine if they fire at your. Amd k7 500 w/ 3dnow and mmx.

Win2k and ATA66 drives...

I have two IBM 20gig ATA66 drives. I have used them in Win2k with two different ATA66 controllers, the HotRod 66 (HPT366) from Abit, and the Promise Ultra66. The Promise does seem more forgiving and has been around longer, but that isn't the problem.
