Is there no network properties or what ever under the Control Panel? Like the one where you could select Identification, Services, Protocols, Adapters, Bindings How do you go about adding new protocls, and checking what services are installed? Thanks

I have been reading some of the posts here and alot of ppl are telling you to open your guest accounts. It sould be noted that while on a internal network that may be fine. . . but if you open the guest account on a pc that has direct access to the internet be warned anyone now has access to snoop you shares.

Empty NTFS partition uses 64 MB diskspace???

Hello all, i got this strangest thing. . . i just formatted my 13 Gig harddrive using Disk Management, and now it shows that it uses 64 megs even tho i havent put anything on it. I see no hidden or system files, only the recycle bin is there (which is empty).

S3 Savage 4 (Creative Labs)?

I have recently installed Win2k pro and the new reference drivers from S3. My games are stutter (Solider of Fortune) and Unreal Tournament has many lines across the screen (menu screen). I know win2k pro installed S3 Savage 4 drivers on start - up, would it be best to keep to these.

I just finished reformatting C: and doing a clean install of Win 2K. I installed Street Atlas (from Delorme) and it seems to run fine. I also installed Solus 1. 5 which allows running a GPS receiver from the Palm.

Hello, Since a week or two, when I try to play some (not all of them) 3D Game, my computer reboot by itself. I want to precise that Auto Reboot on Error is disabled. The entry in the System Event Log is : Event ID: 1001 Source: Save Dump Description: The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck.

I'd like drivers and software for the Eagle Nest IDE but Exabyte doesn't make them anymore. They only work for Win9x. Can't anyone just write new ones or am I stuck with expensive doorstops?? I have the Zip100,LS-120, TR-4 and three HDDs.

Dual Monitors and W2k

Has anybody gotten dual monitors/dual display cards working properly under w2k? Our systems here at work are running windows 98 with Asus v3400TNT AGP card, and an S3 Virge PCI card. Of course the cheap s3 card doesn't work under w2k with dual display.

I have a home network w/3 98 se machines, and one win2k machine. The network works fine, and I seem to be able to use win98SE connection sharing with my DSl, but when I go to browse on the 98 machines, and attempt to enter my 2k box, It asks for a password.

I just installed the damn Office 2000 SR1a patch on my Windows2000 machine. When I load up outlook 2000 it just exits instantly and the same for the other office programs. Does anyone have a fix for this? This is really annoying! Please help!.
