Creative Live! drivers give a crawl for GF 256DDR ?

I am running a good system, check the signature below. And if I stick with the WDM drivers I fine, but if i install Live! drivers 3. 0 alone or with Liveware its gives a crawl when you encode MP3 or play Deus Ex, it uses tracker music, pretty similar to playing mp3 in cpu use refers.

ABIT BH6 & ACPI in Windows 2000

I just updated the BH6 BIOS to the latest version SS, and it supposes to fix the ACPI issue with Windows 2000. However, after I applied the patch, Win2k didn't redetect my PC, I still get Standard PC instead of ACPI Compliant PC under Hardware Profile.

sidewinder gamepad & MX400 in Win2K

I have a monster sound MX400 operating in win2K and I cant get my microsoft sidewinder gamepad to work. When I add a game controller I use the Microsoft Sidewinder (autodetect) and it tells me I have a sidewinder 3D Pro, which I don't.

DX8 Build 140 problem with 3dmark2000 rev 1.1

Anyoen have the problem? I tried out dx8 beta build 140 and all wasworking fine, all my gamesrun fine and 2d significantly sped up but whenever I run 3dmark2000 rev 1. 1 it causes a memory dump and win2k pro reboots.

Its weird. I connect fine! However when I go to sign on to Aol Instand Messanger or ICQ it acts like im not connected. What can I do in Win2k to fix this?? Please help! Jeff.

PIII-800 Win2k Pro Vortex2 latest beta drivers from vortexofsound DirectX8 (DX7 made no difference) All Win2k Patches. Some games get that sound stuttering. In Battlezone 2 the voices play fine and tehn - suddenly - stop.

Hi all, Having recently been having problems with running Norton Anti Virus on Windows 2000 Professional (crashing etc), I decided to install the FREE Anti Virus InoculateIT Personal Edition - This reports a virus in my Temporary Internet files containing the PeaceKeeper virus.

P3 cumine 800 running like an athlon 650 =(

I've gotta new p3 cumine 800 and asus ge-force (6800 deluxe), its not too shabby. . . . one minor complaint. . . . i get theeee most appauling framerates around, 138fps on demo1. dm2 (i used to get 149 with my athlon 650 (asus ge-force as well) - and quake3 is totally un-changed.

I just picked up a dlink, network in a box, and it works fine. Both computers can use the internet and see each other and browse through shared files/folders. My problem is the Internet Connection Sharing Software that came with it (midpoint).

Tirtanium 1.9 and Win2k: direct3d buttons all shaded out

Anyone have this problem? I can run the opengl tests but all of the direct3d buttons are shaded out and I dont even think the program is detecting the direct3d HAL. Celeron 300a@464 on a Abit BH6 Rev 1.

I have two 18GB SCSI drives. Drive 0 has two partitions: c:\ which is 2GB and currently has NT4 on it and d:\ (16GB) which has W2K Pro on it. I now want to get rid of NT4 on C:\ and install Win98SE there instead so I can still play the odd game (I find W2K games support is still pretty bad).
