NT Frezzing on shutdown

Hello I hope someone can help here. Im running NT 4. 0 sevice pack 6a, and Netscape 4. 7. For some reason with in the last 2 weeks when I shut my system down at night it hangs. I then have to manually shut it down.

Cannot get IIS to work

Hi, I just installed IIS to host a ftp site at home. Basically, it is showing as not started, and when I try and start it, in the Internet Service Manager the message I get is The service did not start etc etc ina timely fashion.

Guys would win2k pro run on a pentium 166 laptop with 64 megs ram, 2 gig HD, 10x cdrom, 56k modem and 16 bit internal soundcard? the laptop is a HP omnibook 2000 Does win2k even have a laptop install feature? Celeron 300a@464 on a Abit BH6 Rev 1.

Couple questions on the IDE controller I have.

I have the Highpoint Technology Side-Pro HPT366 Ultra DMA 66 IDE controller installed. You can see by my system specs below that I have 3 hard drives. . . all using the normal motherboard IDE slots. Therefore my controller card is not being used at all.

Counterstrike start server black screen on NT2000

Does anyone have any solutions? When I start a LAN game in Counterstrike using the lastest 7. 0b and Halflife patches and Service Pack 1 for NT2000, I get a damn black screen. I have found a temp solution though! If you ALT - TAB back out.

I just clean installed Windows 2000 on my PC and my Nvidia TNT2 Ultra card is extremely unstable. The official Nvidia Microsoft drivers cause the OS to freeze on startup After about 20-30 minutes of normal OS use such as browsing folders, installing programs or browsing the internet, with the latest Detonator 2 v5.

GP3 - HELP!!!!

I just bought the US version of GP3 and I can't get it to run on W2K Pro. From the start-up screen when you insert the CD it goes to a blue screen with an error message. I've tried using a compatibility tool included on the W2K cd but it says I have a debugger runner which I'm unaware of.

Carmageddon 2: no networking?

I just picked up a copy of Carmageddon 2, and it runs fine, but the networking doesn't seem to work. When ever I host a game, it just says it is waiting for other players, and never goes anywhere. I can go back to the menu, but nothing ever happens.

OK I have tried taking NetBeui out of my protocals but when I do I cant access machines which are browsing the web using TCP/IP. My Win98 machines browse in a heartbeat!!! Any thoughts? Ned.

ATX Power Supply Question

Ok. . . I have a fairly standard Power Supply. I have the traditional ATX Motherboard plug, 2 2x4pin IDE connectors 2 4pin IDE and 4pinfloppy connectors and another connector that I'm not using. . It looks to be a little larger than the standard AT power supply plug.
