ME Lockups

1. After rebooting from setup of Liveware 3 it would lockup upon trying to install the gameport joystick. Had to disable it to boot into windows. 2. Upon installation of Iomegaware, it locks up. When rebooted into windows, the drive is recognized and works, but the software will not install.

Ok, now Windows ME is out. . . any idea when MS is gonna release DirectX 8. 0 for the rest of their line (2k, 9x, etc)?? From what I've seen, its a hell of a lot better than 7. . . . .

How do I get Explorer to remember to always show my files in list view? I turned off 'Remember every folder's view settings', and then selected List View, but now whenever I open explorer, it is back to the large icon view.

Hello, my apologies if this topic has been covered before. I am trying to connect a Win95 machine to a Win98SE machine to share an @home internet connection. All 3 NICs appear to be installed properly and working fine.

Recommendations for TV card, anyone?

Do they really worth?

I own two HDs, the one with Win2k installed and the other with Win98. Is it worth to upgrade the second HD from Win98 (First Edition) to WinME ? I only use Win98 to play games and watch DVD movies. In games will the performance be increased? Will I have any gains from that upgrade?.

I recently got a APC BackUPS Office 350 and attached it to my com1 port via the serial cable provided. However, my system thinks that it running on battery and attempts to shutdown the system, and usually does.

HELP NEEDED. FAST!! I have NT and Diamond Viper550 in AGP slot. On that card is Philips 20C. Now, I've received an IBM P50 color monitor and Trident's PCI VGA card. I would like to have both of these cards and monitors operational UNDER NT, until I roll over to Win2ooo.

Hi ! When i have Win98 and a util like Tweak IT you can enable Plus Icons (not themes) (the Icons on Desktop and Folder Icons become better looking (but same sort of Icon). When i upgrade Win98 to 2000 this option is enabled in Win2k too.
