Windows 2000 reports formatted drive as unformatted

After having to reinstall windows 2000, my D: drive show up in windows 2000 as unformatted and won't let me use it. has anyone seen this? anyone have a fix?.

Has anyone suceeded in getting Mplayer's type chatting functions to work under Windows 2000? I install Mplayer, I can use Voice Chat, make rooms, launch games, but I cannot type. . . . . . . Maybe I'm missing something.

Remove Icon Names..

Is there any way to remove the names of the icons from my desktop? i. e. no network neighborhood, no my computer, no recycle bin. . . just their icons? Without using xteq x-setup, because it screws my computer up.

I was gonna upgrade my cpu pretty soon here and ive been running a P3 - 500 with 128 megs of PC100 ram. I ahve a tnt2u and a sblive. Now here my question. WOuld it be best to but another stick of ram and upgrade the processor (its a asus p2b-f) to 800mhz? Or get all new stuff for 133 fsb? and if so amd or intel.

Okay, this is strange, but when I play Total Annihilation I don't get my unit sounds any more. I just bought my SBlive Platinum and a set of fps2000 digital speakers and this is messin with me. I get the music, but no sounds from the units.

How to change default folder icon?

I know there was a way to change the default folder icon used in explorer, but I can't seem to change it in Windows 2K. I have used a couple of shareware apps that are supposed to change the icon, but to no avail.

Creating a Win2000 Ghost Image

I'm trying to create a Win2000 Ghost image for multiple types of Dell Optiplex machines. I was wondering what was the best way of going about this? With 98 it was best to remove all Hardware in the Device Manager and you had to do it in a certain order to get it all removed.

Help! My coworkers and I need a racing game that will run under NT4. 0 SP6. I know most of you guys are concerned with Win2k, but we're stuck here for now. The machines are not new either but the worst is 350 PII with Matrox Millenium card.

Is there anyway to get Windows 2000 to not debug every program that crashes? Debugging doesn't do me any good as far as I know, and I have no use for it. All it does is use up 30-60mb of RAM, and slow my computer down to a crawl.

Fresh install of 2000 on a new Dell computer. system properties says that the pagefile is set to a minimum of 382MB and a max of 768 MB. A quick property check of the actual file confirms the size to be 382 MB.

I'm planning on adding yet more ram to my system, and I'm caught on this CAS2 and CAS3 ram stuff. I know it has to do with access latency timing or something like that. I have 2 sticks (128 and 32, no idea on timings).

here is my situation: I have no floppy-drive I have two fat32 partitions but none of them can be booted from I have no win9x cd to boot from. I need to make a bootable CD, and have looked around the net for how to make it, but all of them requires me to first make a bootable floppy disk then create that as an image.

I have an ABit BP6 Dual S370 Mobo left over from when i had dual Celeron 400's@550, my question is, can i use Celeron 633's and above with this Mobo? Is there a BIOS Update for it, if it will work, how far can i over clock Celeron 633's?
