driver caught in an infinate loop

The typing of the dead seems to get my driver to go into an infinate loop after a while which freezes up my computer on the second chapter of the game. I have a GeForce2 MX400 card running under WindowsXP Professional build 2600 and this doesn't seem to happen with any other games.

Hi, I don't know which XP version I got is correct. When I check from Help - About Windows it display that my xp is Version 5. 1 (Build 2600. . . . ) but if I check the System Properties it says Version 2002.

Now I'm not a computer genius but when i try to play after i insert the cd and install and then run i get a blue screen with a (time stamp???) or somthing and then my system crashes (correct me if I'm wrong) i here thats not good.

I am playing the Demo with winXP final and I get a blue screen of death. I have no problems with any other game so I hope it is just because it is the demo, but I remember reading somewhere that empire earth will not work with XP.

I formatted my hard drive, did the typical install, and am now missing 3 GB. The install should only take up 1. 5 GB, but after the install it shows I have 4. 5 GB used. I turned of system restore if that helps anything.

When you delete stuff from you computer's recycle bin, XP must store it somewhere, because when you do a system restore, you can come back to a point before you even deleted it and it's still in it's original spot.

Hey there. . . noticed this when switching to DirectX mode in Counterstrike. I always played in OpenGL, I wanted to give it a try in DX. Well, the performance blows majorly. . . i got 31 FPS compared to 72 FPS in GL (limited though by my config script - online gaming optimized).
