Hey, I've been running XP for quite some time and love it dearly. . . I just want to install ME to run some tests on both systems real quick. . . How can I install it? I've tried creating another partition on the end of my C drive and the beginning of my D drive, but neither work.

What could make XP crash with a BSOD (various messages: tcpip, pagefile, irq not less or. . . etc. ) only on a cold boot? When I reboot using the reset switch (not pwr off) everything's fine. I'm thinking: PSU, or maybe something good happens during the scandisk that I'm forced through on reboot? Please, gentlemen, ...

on my notebook pc, i use my Admin account at home. I am not connected to any network when i'm in school, i logon to the school domain using some other username and password how do i make them share the same settings? When i install some app with the admin account, i need to reconfigure the app in school.

Hi. . I've got a BIG problem. Today I turned on my computer and everything seemd nice. . I enterd password for my account and then the trouble began. It took almost a minute until desktop apeard and the wierd pat was that it was something like it creatd a new user.

I thought I'd warn you guys that there are SERIOUS issues with the Seagate Barracuda IV hard disks and the HPT370 RAID controller. Using a RAID 0 configuration the RAID 0 will perform almost 50% SLOWER than using a single drive!!!!!! I have tested this using HPT bios and driver combos 1.

Hi, I'm dual booting 98/XP & in 98se I can set the refresh rate to optimal, yet in XP the only options in Display properties are individual refresh values + defaults to 75hz. If I try to up the refresh rate then the display is re-sized? My monitor is an Iiyama Pro451 which can do 160hz @ 1024x768 & 110hz @ 1280x102 ...

G'day! Okay. . . . . during the installation, I've created Administrator account. And then I created a limited account called Regular However. . . . . in the welcome screen, there's only Regular, but Administrator is nowhere around.
