Im using a no-name 5Port 100mb Switch, two machines connected running at 100mb, and an uplink to a 10mb hub with some others connected. My problem now is that file transfers using ftp between machines only operates at around 1000k/s which is only a tenth of what it should be.

when i capture with win movie maker it drops no frames when i capture with premiere 6. 01 it says that it does't drop frames but i only runs at about 1 frame per sec when you play back captured clips.

Promise FastTrak100 TX4 - Opinions?

Is anybody here using the FastTrak 100 TX4? This is the RAID 0+1 controller that has 4 IDE channels on rather than the 2 found on the original FastTrak 66/100 & TX2. I'm liking the idea of this card, means I can run my RAID 0+1 array (40x 60GB IBM drives) with all 4 drives having their own IDE channel.

Hi all, One of my Windows 2000 servers has just started showing a new event in it's event log. This is an Active Directory domain with 5 Domain Controllers. The server in question is running Windows 2000 Server SP2.

In short, I lost my serial for Windows2000 OEM-version. The key was on the manual which is nowhere to be found. . . What can I do? Call Microsoft? Can they help me with my problem, especially when it's an OEM-version? Get somebody else's cd-key? But isn't it cd-specific? Find it in the registry? I've only found the ...

I am fairly new to networking, so bare with me! In my office, we are running 3 Win 2000 Pro machines, 3 Win 98 machines, and 1 Win 95 machine. We were running at Win NT 4. 0 server, till our hard drive crashed, so we bought a new one with Win 2000 server on it, and had to start over from scratch.

Just purchased an HP Scanjet 4400C. While the scanner software recognizes Microsoft Office, Access, Image, etc. . . . . it doesn't recognize Picture It! Photo 2001 as being on the system. Can't get into Microsoft's site to ask why.
