i just install win2k and when i try to surf the web IE says i am not connected but i have cable if i click on try again i then have no problem how do i tell win2k i am allways connected i have the setting on lan and every thing works it just when i start IE i all ways have to hit try again

Command line backup in NT Server 4 . . .

I need to know what the command is to compress a backup using the NT Command line process. I can't seem to find it. The backup utility that comes with NT Server has the checkbox option and it works just fine, but the backups are all scheduled so I need a way to add it to the command line process.

I have read all the documentation I can find on this issue but I havent come across this one. Let me know if someone has seen this and knows what to do about it. I have created a bootable cd rom, with Win2k and sp2 slipstreamed into it, following the directions I found here.

I have a Logitech Cordless keyboard and mouse, and whenever I'm trying to type anything the stupid thing heads off to wonderland typing away, it never did this before I installed XP, anybody else had the problem? Thing is it doesn't just type characters, it's typing real words that make sense.

On the Yamaha 2100. . . going from 1. 0h to 1. 0n. Downloaded the latest (n), disabled DMA, Ran the install. Got 'firmware write error'. Drive now displays as 'YAMAHA CRW2100S_CORE. Firmware reverted to 1.

"Always on top" windows wont stay on top!

My taskbar, winamp, and editpad (a text editor) all have always on top selected. After a few minutes they will just randomly slip to the bottom of everything as opposed to the top and stay there. I havent found anything at ms's knowledge base, does anyone have any clue what could be up?.

There's supposedly a download you can get from Trilobyte that will make this game compatible with NT. However, Trilobyte is gone. is there any other site that I can get this download at or does anyone known the tweaks that need to be cheaked on the XP Application Compatibility program that came with XP?.

I have been rebuilding a website that I made about a year ago. The rebuild is an all asp driven site connected to an ms access database. I pulled the tables and java scripts off of the old page and put it in an ms access database and the whole thing has been working great for about a week.
