100% cpu utilization when using the search feature in XP

when i try to search for a file on my computer i get 100% cpu utilization and my computer hangs. only when i stop the search the cpu utilization returnes to normal. i'v disabled the animation and turned on the indexing.

Is there some sort of patch for samsung ddr ram with via chipsets? I thought I saw a patch somewhere for samsung ddr ram. I opened my case and saw I have samsung ram, but now can't find the patch? am I crazy or is there really a patch?.

I call OpenFile to access a file across a network, using an IP address. If the network connection is not established, there is an intolerable delay in the response to the Openfile call (45 seconds on my machines).

I just recently got NFS5. I've deleted the gimmie. dll, but it still doesn't work. The same error message where it says that I don't have enough memory or something. I am using Windows 2000 Professional, and was wondering if anyone else did anything else to get it working.

I just moved up to XP Pro from Win2k. I did a CLEAN install on a fresh reformat. The system was working well with Win2K. I have a couple of problems with XP Pro that will make it useless to me if I can't fix them.

I installed lot of PC with windows XP connected on Windows 2000 Serveur. I use TCPIP protocole in DHCP or TCPIP but when starting computer, log can make 5 minutes before entering in windows. After, all work fine.
