I finally did it. Tonight when I am finished my Lian Li case will have a P4 sticker on it. I am so tired of incompatiblities that I'm swicthing sides. To top it all off I bought an audigy. No matter how superior a chip is, it;s the whole platform that you have to consider.

winxp ntfs and win2k ntfs compatibility

If i'm not mistaken win2k uses ntfs 5 and xp uses ntfs 5. 1. I had xp installed for a while with my 2 drives in ntfs. But i switched back to 2k => drive1 = ntfs 5 and drive 2= ntfs 5. 1 2k seems to be able to use the second drive normally.

crackling sound with audigy and xp?

Hmm, i think this is a old problem but here i go again anywhay. . . When i play mp3 i get this very disturbing crackling sound all the time, all my mp3's sound like old LP records. I got the newest driver updates.

just wondering if anyone has succeeded in recording a DVD-Audio disc onto their hard drive and how. I just bought a classical DVD-Audio disc (by mistake, i admit) and I'd like to make an Audio CD out of it (not everyone has a DVD player in their car, right?).

I just installed my new MB and CPU out , and had to reinstall all my stuff. Needless to say I had a problem activating my windows xp products. Anyone else had this problem? I was on the phone with MS for like 3 hours.

I try to connect my desktop and my notebook (both with win XP), all seems correct and one computer see the other (ping is ok). But when I try to transfer a large file after few megabytes the network stop and the OS told me that the network isn't available anymore.

Dual monitor problem

I have a gf2mx400 agp and a matrox g200 pci. i used to use them for dual monitors under xp and 2k on my 440bx then one of my monitors broke and i upgraded to the daul p3 i840 board i can't seem to get widows xp to show both video cards in the display properties anymore.

when i try to play half-life counter-strike on my comp runing windows xp or windows 2000 it gives me a error randomly. . . is there anything that can stop this error? it gives me the same error in 2000 to.

The server of my lab has two NICs one to connect internet by an antenna(VSAT) creating a proxy for all the users in the LAB, and the other one to comunicate with the rest of the LAN. When i start up the server i cannot establish a connection to the antenna until disable the other LAN connection.

Anybody have any luck getting steel panthers III to run on XP? I can install it fine, but when I run it, the monitor goes inactive. I can hear the sound of the intro in the background, but can get nothing on the screen.

HPT370 Windows XP issues resolved!!!

I was one of those people who had to revert back to the HPT370 1. 03b drivers (instead of the Windows XP native) in order to keep from stuttering sound and system performance with my Via Apollo Pro chipset machine (Abit VP6).
