Hi guys, I noticed that when in Address bar, we type a name that matches something in our favorites, it shows favorites automatically. However, if my favorites is inside a folder in Favorties\. . , it wont do that for it.

I just went from win98 to w2k and did a fresh install of it. right from the start my boot HD is always doing something, but I dont know what. if I do just things that normally wont require loading in win98 the drive will load.

I have a assortment of mapped network drives to different computers on my network. If i logon to my local machine and one comptuer is not on, it takes a long time to log in. I remember Windows 98 having a option of either Reconnect at Logon or Reconnect at first use, but i want it in XP too.

I'm missing system files on XP according to Norton Utilities

Hi Got a problem with Windows XP Pro. Or rather, Norton Utilities 2002 believes that I have a problem with it. Everytime I run WinDoctor it comes up with a missing file dialogue, and that it cannot repair a missing system file.

I have 2 nics in my severpc and for some reason i had to plug and unplug them several times. But every time Windows gives them another number. Now they are listed as local area connection 8 and 9. How can a see and delete the invisible devices? Thanks.

This is strange. I just reinstalled Windows 2000 Professional and installed some security patches in addition to Service Pack 2 and now I am getting blue screen of death right after Windows 2000 Professional screen at the startup.
