I have a weird problem when trying to run Scandisk or Norton Disk Doctor with the fix errors option enabled. I get an error that says the disk check cannot be performed because exclusive access to the disk cannot be obtained.

I got stutter when playing CMR2 with any detonator version (rigth now i'm using version 27. 70). The framrate is about 30 to 40 FPs which is smooth, but sometimes the game stutters as if it's swapping, the framerate stays well above 30.

The of the 4 choices in the F5 option durning setup what are the I486 and SMP (or something like that) choices? I tried to search M$ site but couldn't find anything. Is the first choice 'standard PC' the same as not choosing F5 in the first place?.

Help! Compatability mode in 2k

I'm using W2k and I can't seem to get to the compatability mode like I could in XP. What's wrong? My friend says he has compatability mode and I read some posts and they seem to confirm this too, is there some way to activate it or something?.

nVidia 23.11+ (nview added) XP driver conflict with ICQ 2001

I have tried the latest version of nVidia detonator 28. 32 XP driver. Apparently it still have a bug or something that caused ICQ to response very slowly and at worse, brought the whole system to a slow-response even after ICQ is shut down.

ABIT 21.83 -> NVIDIA 28.32... error in DESK.CPL

I have an ABIT Geforce 3 Ti200, using the 21. 83 drivers supplied on the ABIT CD-ROM. Whenever i try and update the drivers (ie switch to the NVIDIA dentonator models) i can't access the advanced settings in the display panel, it says 'error in DESK.

Helped a friend to set up a XP machine on a LAN with two other machines and a Linksys cable/DSL router connected to a cable modem. DHCP is running. Everything works BUT for some reason there are two network connections, one Internet Connection and one Local Area Connection.

Hi all, i was wondering if you can set windows media player or winamp to run as a scheduled task, and autoplay as well when it starts. I want to use this as a kind of an alarm clock. I can't find a command that will autoplay the music file/CD on either programs.
