I have a PowerDVD that doesnt work with my guest account in XP. The message was drive not responding. But when I use my Admin account it works perfectly well. . . Is there any way I can let other users play PowerDVD? Thanks.

My 30gig 7200rpm maxtor drive is having issues; every so often, it will hang with no disk activity with the HD access led lit as W2k loads tasbar items. It trashed my FAT32 filesystem and installation last year.

I have been installing a lot of apps in a mixed NT4 and W2k environment. The problem is that some of these applicaitons require administrator access, and even when I give the user local admin rights, the apps still won't install.

One of my friend has a laptop. . . His Outlook 2000 config is 1-Exchange Svr 2-Internet mail ( with pop and smtp ) he use this account to send/receive mail When he travels with his laptop and he wants to send a mail, he just cannot because Outlook tries to contact Exchange Server.

Through a massive cock-up with Partition Magic my main NTFS partition was rendered unbootable. Thinking only the partition table was screwed I attempted to repair it using the linux fdisk program booted using the tomsrtbt disk (something I've done several times before with no ill-effects.

I have my pagefile on a 70mb ramdisk set at 25mb min and 50 mb max. Anyone else tried this and if so have they noticed any problems or improvements? Before you ask why, just to see if I could. .

When i boot into windows XP pro after logon i cannot use my PC for around a minute, the desktop is there but the hard disk is just grinding away and not much is happening. I cannot seem to do anything if i even try to open an explorer window it does nothing, i can't even get the task manager to open.
