dvd player not reading burnt cds

I have an LG dvd player and it doesn't support burnt cds and fails to read it. Is there a way to overwrite this or bypass it? Is there like a modchip or the like for dvd players like mine?.

I want to play Eye of the Beholder 3, but it says i need 930K EMS memory for sound effects. Any ideas?? I remeber back in the days there was a file called: emm386. exe, withc gave EMS memory. But how do i make XP include it in its startupfiles??.

I installed red alert using the method stated in the games section. It worked except there is no network play option. On my win me machine network play is there but not on my win 2k machine so im sure it has something to do with win 2k.

Guys over the past couple of days I seem to have alot of applications hanging. any ideas? Event viewer says its a fault bucket. I installed XP this time with ACPI on (previous installs I have it off) but that was like a month ago with no major problems.

I have a visiontek geforce 3, I have tried using the 23. 11's that I used with my previous geforce2 ultra, and I get infinite loop errors in 3dmark. So I installed the 28. 32's and they work fine, but the performance is lackluster.
