hey. . . . i saw this a few days ago : L2 Cache size Windows XP can't detect the proper amount of L2 cache on your CPU. you'll want to go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management\ and change the SecondLevelDataCache key to the L2 cache size of your CPU (in Kb).

hey guys. i installed windowsxp and i decided to turn my hard disk from basic to dynamic. i like the ability to mount/unmount stuff but i can't see an advantage of using dynamic disks. the fact that i can manage dynamic disks on the fly and don't have to worry about 3rd party progs like partition magic is nice but ...

While playing around with WCPUID, I made the discovery that my AGP bus was only running in 1x mode, in spite of the fact it supports 2x mode. Also, sidebanding is disabled, even though that's supported.

I have Netware client services installed on my pc (W2k) but I don't need it any more. Does anyone know how I can uninstall it? It is not in the list of installed applications in the Control Panel 'Add/Remove programs' option and I cannot find an Uninstall.

I have a 40gb hard drive that I have only 3gb in the system partition. I keep getting drive running out of space messages because 3 people share this pc. I have a 15gb empty partition. Can I combine them somehow and how without reformating?.

I just noticed a few hours ago that my Plextor is running under PIO Mode. (Device Manager/IDE/ATAPI Controllers/Secondary IDE Channel) I thought the solution was simple, tell it to use DMA if available.

Hi, When I used to save a picture I right clicked and save it as. jpg file format. But now, when I do that, IE only brings up. bmp file format. There is no other way of choosing a different file format.

SLI Canopus Pure 3D II and Win2k problem

I've got 2 Canopus Voodoo 2 cards running SLI in Win2k using a hacked driver, the card runs Unreal in safe mode in the window but if I try to run in regular mode full screen the program stalls at a blank screen(no sound, my system doesn't lok up but I can't get back to my desktop, have to hard reboot).
