I seem to be having a little trouble. . . when I right click on a sound file (MP3, WAV, etc) WINXP takes it upon itself to play the sound file. . . no application controls the sound, and I can't seem to ctrl-alt-del to end task the file.

Via has released the KT333A as KT333. According to their specs, the only way to tell if the board has the real KT333 or it´s predecessor is the AGP speed. The old one has only 4x, while the new one supports even 8x AGP.

Modem Problems in XP

I was running XP pro on my laptop. I only use the modem when I am on the road other wise I use my home network for internet and email access. I was on a trip this past week and everytime I went to use the modem, the dial up connection said no modem detected.

Has anyone tried reallocating hardware to different IRQs under win2K to avoid sharing on IRQ9? I have been having problems with CFS2 and the only thing left to me that I haven't done from the list of suggestions is to manually move my graphics and sound cards to different interrupts.

Undeletable file remains on disk after system crash ! PLEASE

I was copying a huge file on my disk while Windows XP crashed. An UNDELETABLE FILE now remains on disk. Windows says file is in use by an other process. Any attempt to delete or access this file from windows makes explorer crash.

Hi, I have two hard discs. Both are UATA. If I copied any big file (e. g. divx movie) from first one to the other my system is going to work slowly. Even if I would like to shut down the system this operation takes much more time.

My DVD Drives take ages to read DVD!!! :(

Hi guyz, I have had these 2 DVD Drives for a while now and never tried a dvd on them. Last week i decided to buy a mag with a DVD on and when i popped it into the drive it starts to read, but it keeps reading (as if it were a scratched cd) and then after about 10mins of waiting it plays fine.

I just upgraded my PC from P3 Celeon to P4-1. 6GHz with an Asus P4S333 MB. I installed W2K Server on the weekend and everything went fine. This afternoon I bought the iPanel and I can't get Windows to boot anymore.
