Good review by tom Basically its not much faster, obviously limited by the drives themselves now, as ata100/133 give almost 0 speed increase. Ill be glad to finally be rid of those stupid IDE ribbon cables though, but i think ill just get an IDE/SATA adaptor for my drives for the time being.

Automatic Shut-down problem

8) Hi there, A few weeks ago i needed to format my computer. From that day on i have to shut-down manualy, at first the computer shut-down by himself but now i need to push the powerbutton. Are there any setting to change.

1. When clicking on a link for a FAQ have the link jump to the FAQ question? 2. Provide Mod's (or anytone really) the ability to edit the FAQ. I'm guessing a seperate page would have to be provided for the FAQ for this ability.

publisher 2002 with office 2000

I am running w2k with office 2000. I upgraded the publisher to 2002 and have problems. When there are background colors in a. pub document I can't see them (just a white background). The background also won't print (although it shows up in print preview).

Voodoo 2 problem !!??

hey. . i just upgraded my geforce2 mx 400 to the geforce 4 mx 440. i have 2 questions. first i had a choise between a 64MB ddr card and a 128MB Sdr card and i chose the later. did i make the right choise ? second.

windows update doesn't work anymore

Windows Update on my W2k machine stopped working when they changed the web page layout a couple months back. I had to download the server package of SP3 and run it from my machine instead of letting Windows Update decide which components I needed and only downloading and installing them (125 Meg - thank God for DSL).

W2K Lock desktop

Can someone assist? I have a Acer laptop on a network running w2k with active directory. Laptop runs w2k, The laptop keeps automatically locking the desktop after about 15mins of inactivity. I have tried various power sav settings to no avail, done the reg entry to stop the use of lock desktop with no change.
