COmputername dislayed in metwork browser evn the user logout

Hi, why the computernames are visible in network browser even the user is logout from the server or shutdown his computer. My server is windows 2000. Because of this some user face difficulty to loging again on the server.

Ok here is the deal. My client's business got purchased by an out-of-town company, and they up and took the NT4 server out of the office a couple weeks ago. I now have the task of installing a new server with Windows 2000 and I would like to do this a smoothly as possible.

Okie, I've been having major problems here ever since WinXP SP1 and I'll just say before I get started. . . yes, I reformatted and the issues keep coming back. Using Catalyst v2. 3 drivers for my Radeon 8500 Using latest drivers for Hauppauge WinTV Go PCI and latest WinTV2000.

I tried the steps on getting it wokring in 2000, but that didnt work. Everytime i run the exe, it runs but is all smashed into the top half of the screen, and going to properties and forcing it to run in 640x480 isnt working either.

now i get to start a help thread. my neighbors got a unknown via mobo and a p3 i loaded xp last night and everything runs perfect (though slow) they have a hp usb photoprinter that installs and everything but when u try to print more than a line the print fails and the printer disconnects.

I have a dual-boot of ME and XP, on a 60Gb drive, split in half. Here's the deal. It's my mother's computer. She likes ME, (don't ask) and I love XP. The modem is not compatible with XP, so I have to do all of my internet use from ME.

I keep on having problems with sound of Grand Prix Legends under Windows XP: I abandoned Windows 2000 because of graphic problems and I had this new one. The problem is limited to GPL though: I have awful distortion inside the game (but strangely not during replay).

I recently purchased a PIII 1GHz slot1 100mhz bus CPU for my Abit BE6-II board. I flashed the bios before installing the new chip to be sure it would post right. After installing the new CPU, the system will no longer post.

I just installed Partition Magic Pro 7. 0 and partitioned my 2 HD's. The HD that Windows XP is on I partitioned it into 2. The 2nd HD I partitioned it into 4. These are all logical partitions. Anyway that worked out fine.
