Memory could not be "read" error in many games

I have gotten the error The memory could not be 'read' in many games. The games are: NHL 2K Madden 2K Sim Theme Park Final Fantasy 7 (crashes to desktop) Driver: You are the wheel man Supreme Snowboarding Does anyone know how to clear the error or what could be causing the error? I am running W2k Pro on this system ...

AvP doesn't work! When I run the game it says something like this: avp. exe has generated errors. Windows will close the programme. . . . What's the problem? (have voodoo3 win2k drivers). . . HELP. .

BP6 + Win2k +SMP + Quake3 + TNT/GeForce - Anyone have this c

I'm running a couple of Celeron 400's on an Abit BP6, had a TNT now a GeForce and a SB Live card. I'm trying to enable SMP for use with Quake3 Retail, no luck, just locks up the system. I've tried various Detonator drivers, all seem to do the same thing.

Game reporting wrong drive space.

I recently installed Beetle Crazy Cup in Win2K Pro 2195. I played the game four times with no problems. Now it won't play. I get an error that says I have -1725megs disk space(yes negative 1725megs) and the game needs 25megs of drive space to run.

Which Via AGP driver should I use with windows 2000 pro?

Quake 2 in Win2k!!! :(

I finally got everything set up perfectly in win2k, but i noticed some bugs in quake 2. Whenever i changed the brightness settings, they wouldn't change. Whenever i start or join a network or internet game, the game crashes and kicks me back out to the desktop.

Just installed Panzer General II - german version on my NTSystem. The program runs fine, but i can't see any maps and i cant't load any scenarios. I copied the MAP directory off the CD to the harddisc, but nothing changed.

DX6 3rash Module (dx6z. dll) This is the problem. . . . maybe someone can try 2 work on a patch. . . but as i said before. . . FIFA2000 can't run on Win2k Only because FIFA2000 !!! the game doesn't support Win2k.

Hi i recently got unreal tourney, and i know loads of people have been complaining about the loading time of it, well a fair few weeks back now but anyway, i owuld just like to say that my load time, well its not there!!! Its takes like about 5secs whereas my quake3 still takes like 20-30secs.

The drivers work fine with the game, but since I cannot change the gamma I am blind as a bat playing. I have the newest powerstrip software, but eq locks up whenever I try to use it. Anyone else having this problem? I am using a Hercules GeForce 256 btw.

But before you all get excited it does not work for me although i have seen a difference, before i installed the patch when i ran fifa it crashed and froze on the black screen and when i pressed ctrl alt and delete in the task menu i saw fifa not responding and a error.

Problems with 3DFX official for W2000.

After instalation official 3DFX drivers for W2000 2195 UT does not work. Check box for D3D in 3DFX tools is grey. First I ininstall all 3DFX, Glide, Voodoo from my HD and registry, then clean install new drivers and 3DFX tools.

My wife loves that pinball game, and she wants to play it on her Win98 laptop. I've looked around for some way to install it on there, but eventually just copied the Pinball directory to her computer.

Unable to read CD-rom when playing AOE2 and C&C2

This is wierd. AOE2 and C&C2 can run under win2k. I can install both no prob, but when I want to play, they don't detect the game in the CD-rom. I have tried this on two different computers each with different cd-roms running the same build of win2k.

UT + SBLive (Dell drivers) = sound distortion

Anyone else getting sound distortion in UT with Dell's drivers? Didn't happen with the Basic drivers, nor Live!Ware 3. 0, but with Dell's drivers it does. Makes the game almost unplayable. Any ideas?.

Fifa 2k and Win2k (Yes, that old question!!!)

Now I'm confused. . . Eversince RC2, I've never been able to get Fifa2k to run in Win2k. Now, when going to the main page on NT Compatible, someone has posted a result saying it runs fine. Details would be appreciated, as I get an exception error all the time.

hello, my problem is with quake 3 arena the game is almost to dark to play i have tried to increase the brightness within the game and with powerstrip but nothing seems to work it seems to be only under openGL games directX works fine i had this same problem under winnt4.
