Well, it isn't that simple. If your going to play todays new games, it'll require a high-end 3d accelerator with a good amount of onboard memory. Try playing Quake 3 on your generic svga card. . . if it's even possible.

Monster mx300 issue under win2k

Hmmm does somebody got also problems with an pci sound card under win2k ? i got the strange problem that my comp in all of a sudden reboots when i choose the vortex2 pci driver in the pop up screen. the soundcard is PnP and is detected as an vortex2 card but the a3d isn't working only the standard sound.

My Win2k Experience....

I recently purchased Win2k pro , and upgraded my Windows 98. The installaion was flawless, and pretty much everything I had installed ran. There were a few quirks that were obvious, and some showed their ugly head a few weeks later.

I have Power DVD version 2. 0 - Retail, but it will not work under Windows 2000. So for the hell of it I downloaded Cyberlinks 1. 5,1. 6 to 2. 55 patch. After installing the patch I now have Full DVD under W2K.

Nvidia Neptune 5.02 Drivers Any Good?

Just saw on the news portion of this site that there is an alpha release of Nvidia drivers for Windows Neptune, version 5. 02. Says they are supposed to work fine under Win2k. Anyone tried this yet?.

I am having problems with USB mice and w2k. Whenever i plug in my mouse into USB hub it starts lagging - the cursor doesn't move in sync with the mouse. Whenever i connect the same mouse (through adapter) to ps2 port - everything works fine.

I just read Musteks windows2000 FAQ and noticed that they do not plan on ever supporting win2k. I guess it's time to chuck my crappy mustek and get new scanner. Does anybody have any suggestions for a scanner that will work in win2k for the $100 - $200 range? Thanks in advance.

win2k sidewinder profile activator

the sidewinder precision pro is stated as being win2k compatible on M$'s web site and on all other sites i can find. The joystick is available under control panel, but with rudimentry support. Is there a profile activator available under win2k? If not it should be listed as partly compatible.

Hi! I have an Epson Stylus Color 600 printer(parallel) and the Ink Status Monitor program is gone. W98 and NT4 drivers won't work. I've done a fresh install, and neither the W2K generic drivers, or NTcompatibles Epson 600 w2k drivers have the Ink Status Monitor program.

I have been trying to figure out where in the hell my printugp. inf file is in order to make the hack posted here work: I installed Win2k on a freshly formatted system. . . Could that have anything to do with it? I cannot, for the life of me, find the file on the Win2K CD or on my HD.

Dear Friends, I have a problem with my win2k pro. My Sound Blaster 16 Isa card doesnt work correctly under with win2000,although it worked perfectly with win98. the problem is the sound comming out with a silent gaps in every 2 seconds in it.

Does anyone noticed or any idea how to get real 4 speaker support backonline in powerdvd or any other dvd prog???? In win98 there was an option in pDVD : 4 speaker output and it worked FINE! In W2K, no such option and all the others don;t give the same REAL 4 speaker/surround effect.

I tested an imac mouse, and it worked! now you have the yummy ability to be not confused by multiple buttons and have a racialy equal mouse ball. Also i tried my intellimouse explorer on an imac and it worked! everybutton did the same thing!.
