Coppermine in old BX board?

I have an old ASUS P2B-DS of an motherboard and am saving pennies for hopefully a CPU upgrade. Can I stick one of them new coppermine in this thing? And two even? I can barely afford in a month a brand new P3 800/100 coppermine SLOT-1 CPU.

Most Win2k Friendly Vid Card?

I've been trying to decide on a replacement for my Banshee, but am coming up stuck on what card provides the best support in 2000. I need a card with TV-Out as well. I'm trying to decide between a GeForce, a GeForce 2 MX, a Viper II, and a V3 3500.

Modem and and sound problem

I was wondering is anyone is experiencing the same problem as me. When I'm online, and wither try to play a gam over the net or stream sound from a radio station, or indeed visit any website with sound, the computer locks up after around ten seconds, with a continual loop of the sound being played.

PhoenixNet & Award BIOS

I was wondering if anyone has a motherboard with the new PhoenixNet/Award BIOS? I had Win98 , and it put all kinds of stuff on my desktop and ran in my system tray , and all it did was link to a page that allowed me to d/l free programs that anyone who's been on the net for more than a week already has.

Harddisc problem...

I´m trying to take one of my old slave-discs from my old PC (running win95) and putting it into my new one (running win2k). I´m doin this to move over some gigs of data to the new PC. My problem is that the win2k PC can´t detect the HD.

Hey I have a scsi yamaha 4x2x6 burner and I don't know if this thing is messed up. My friends ide HP 8x4x32 can erase a cdrw in just under 1 minute using the quick mode, on my yamaha it takes almost an hour with using the same erase mode.

Unsafe removal of device..

Anyone here knows what is up with my cdrom drive? i kepp on getting the 'unsafe removal of device' warning for my BTC cdrom. Warns me about removing the device while the system is still running, but the fact is i didn't.

Does anyone know if this is a good card? I have a chance to get one really cheap, and MS says it is Win2k compatible. I need to bring my SCSI drives over to my W2K machine, 'cuz I might be giving my 486 away.

Well I used to be totally up on all available chipsets. Just from the name of a motherboard I could tell you what CPU's you could fit. I used to know what chipsets supported what - seems I have let my knowledge drop.
