Disk slower on WIN2000 ??

Hi there, here's my problem : I've got a BP6 Mobo working just fine, but (!!) I have noticed that my harddrive is slower on Win2K than on Win98 for example when I load a huge MP3 playlist. This is on a IBM 20Go 7200T Hard Drive, located on the first HPT366 chanel of the mobo and on a FAT 32 partition.

Atuo power down problem on ATX

I just installed Win2k in my system and I love it! But it's doing something I don't like. It's not recognizing that I have an ATX motherboard, and won't auto power down on shutdown. The System is: AMD K6-2 400Mhz Asus P5A (ATX Form factor) 128Mb PC-100 8.

Hi i have a Asus v3800 TNT2 card i try to update my drivers to the nVidia 6. 31 drivers, and everytime i play a game or use Media player or Real player my whole computer halts. I cant figure out whats wrong it does this with every update except the Asus 5.

MSI 815E Pro/Win2k lockups

I just got an MSI 815E Pro + P3 866 (6. 5*133)+2 sticks of 128MB Micron CAS3 PC-133 memory (one double-sided, one single-sided). Fresh install of win2k randomly locks up or gives blue screen errors. When I bump the main memory down to 100 Mhz, all is fine (still running at 866).

I have an Abit Hotrod ata66 card on an Intel se440bx-2 mobo. I just bought an IBM dtla 30gb 75gxp drive. I understand that you need the 1. 26 bios and drivers to run win2k with this hardware. I updated my bios and installed the drivers in win2k before connecting the drive to the card.

Mouse Problems and IRQ Settings?

I just put on windows 2000 and it put a lot of hardware on IRQ 9. Is there a way to change this? Since my video card and network card are on the same IRQ number it makes the mouse stick for a second when im using the internet.

Voodoo3 + Win2k won't boot?

I have a Voodoo3 2000, and everytime I install it in my Win2k machine (5. 00. 2195 SP1), it hangs with the startup screen. Even VGA mode does not boot, what am I missing here? Jasonian.

anyone having trouble getting movies to play using DVD station in whistler beta 1 using the RMHP? I keep on getting an MCI error or a message saying that the driver is in use. Odd thing is that it works fine in 2257 ;(.

Hi ! I use WinRoute 4. 1 on a NT4 machine. On my desktop machine I installed Whistler BETA 1 and I now got a REALLY slow InternetExplorer. Is there an option to change that makes it soooooo slow. It takes forever to load a site.

I have a copermine 800 MHz (6*133) and when it's used 100%. . playing games for instance. . it has about 72°C. I wonder how hot the average p3 gets because 72°C seems to be incredible hot to me because my AMD-K6 never had more than 40°C.

Here my problem. . I just installed Diskeeper 6, and I have set it to do a Boot-Time Defrag. To do this MS whistler needs to do CHKDSK /F, but won´t. So everytime I try do evan a normal defrag on the C: drive, its just says that CHKDSK/F is scheduled to run, and prevents me from defraging.
