Guys How well would this system run Win2k pro?

Guys how would this system run win2k pro? Would the slow HD really kick my *** ? Celery 2 566@ 952mhz 192 megs pc100 Abit BE6 rev 1 Western Digital 8. 4 UDMA-33 5400 RPM HD Matrox G450 32 meg DH SB live Value Supra Express 56i ISA and many other things.

Hey chaps just kicked out a TNT 2 Ultra for a Voodoo 5500 (cos it was very cheap) but cannot get games to work under glide, D3D ok, OpenGL ok but Glide crashes back to desk top when involked. 1. 04 drivers, no O/clocking at all.

I am getting REALLY bad disk performance with this setup in Win2k. My HDD is constantly getting thrashed, and everything is much more sluggish than expected. Anybody got this working on a decent performance level?.

Hey, I need to know how to up the power to my video card. I have been experiencing game flicker and flashing for about three weeks now. I have tried everything that my friend and I can thing of ie. drivers, updates, stuff like that.

i recently bought an Abit HotRod 100 Pro RAID card and set up a stripe set with two 30gb IBM 75GXPs. on the motherboard hard drive channels i have a 10gb seagate drive, a pioneer dvd-rom and an iomega cd-rw.

Hi I just tried the new 3dfx drivers on my Voodoo5. Blahh, same problem as always: In OpenGL (not a problem in Glide and D3D) the picture is totally messed up if I force another refreshrate than 60Hz.

I suspect that the Montego does not run under Win2k, but I will find out soon enough. Can anyone tell me if the Videologic SonicFury (i. e. Turtle Beach Santa Cruz) ships with win2k drivers on CD? I can see that they are available for download from the website, but at 24Mb I am not interested in spending half a day ...

Hi all, I have Whistler Beta 1 , and on the desktop is it runs extremly choppy, when i move my mousepointer over the login screen it goes very chopppy, when i open the startmenu it goes very choppy. Help me If I use the default Whistler drivers things work ok. I only get 16 bit, and no games work. If I install any of the 3dfx win2k drivers I get 4bit color and minimum resolution only. Anyone got a fix for this?.

Is there any way to disable this warning. I have a friend with a laptop and win2k and a mem stick with a pcmcia adapter. Every time he pulls out the stick or the card he gets Unsafe removal of device.

Win2k & GForce2 - Minor Video Glitch

Hello All, I have a Dual monitor system using a PCI Guillemot Cougar (TNT2) & a Creative Labs GForce2 Pro as my AGP card. On the GForce, a light redish outline appears on my windows when the contrast is too extreme - ie, a white window with a dark grey window border.

We have just had a workstation delivered with an Adaptec 19160 Ultra160 card in. Little bit confused here, but can older devices like a Pioneer DVD-ROM, Yamaha CD-RW & Iomega ZIP drive be attached to a card like this? I'm assuming they are backwards compatible with non-Ultra160 devices?.

Really folks, which is the better driver for the games, and works with DX8. 0a? The 6. 62 seem to work fine, but it has been said many times that the 7. xx drivers were MADE for DX8. .
