I'm looking to get a new motherboard, and I have my eye on Abit's KT7A board (along with an AMD 1GHz Thunderbird). I see from previous there are a few problems with ATA-100 and Win 2000 with this board.

Windows XP gets stuck during install

I have tried two different copys of the latest build. I am installing from a formatted drive, fat32. I run smartdrv. exe and then start the install. It will get through the first part and shutdown for the first time.

I was just curious as to where all of you signed up to be a beta tester. I have looked and looked but I can't find a sign up form anywhere. . I'm sure it's too late for XP but could one of you point me in the right direction so maybe I can be a tester of Windows 2010.

ATA100 & Window XP

I have Windows Whistler build 2428 and I was wondering if this build includes ATA100 support. The disk acess seems to be faster than win2k with the ATA100 patch so I am pretty sure that it is enabled I was just wondering if anyone knew for sure.

Got a GeForce 2 GTS DDR 32meg today and have been playing with it for hours. I have a Pentium II 450@504, 256megs of pc100sdram, Win2k, fsb112mhz, udam/66 7200rpm WD hard drive, Amptron 3100B mobo. In quake 3 timedemo 1 with the following settings: 1152X864 16bit color , lightmap, geo detail med, texture about medium.

Hi! is someone istalled NAV 2001 on 2428? because when I istalled it on 2410 whistler won't come up at all, So I want to install it on the currnet built but I don't know if it's working. thanks for any assistence green.

Help! please!

OK here is the situation. I just got a TYAN Tiger 100. I put my 2 PIII 450's in it. Installed 98 and 2000 2 times. Each time 2000 kept rebooting, and giving me errors. I then formatted, installed 2000 only and I still have problems.

problems with via busmaster drivers

I installed the newest 4 in 1 drivers and the via bus master drivers was installed, but the original ide drivers are still left, so they are coming in conflict with each others, what can I do about that? The new bus master drivers seems to work better with my harddrives.

SBLive and XP (Whistler build 2296)

I have an Creative SBLive and I'm running Whistler build 2296, I successfully installed the 2000 drivers from I had to use winrar to extract the. exe's that are contained in the SBLive Live!Ware. Just running them told me it was an unsupported OS.

CD burner don't work

Hi I have a well know problem, but I don't know how to fix it. I have a Sony 10X RW under win2k but no burner program finds it. I first installed winoncd that comes with the burner. ITs a fairly new version and it is known to work.

Problem with my K6-2 system and GeForce256

I bought a new GTS, and intended on putting my current 256 in my K6-2 system(K6-2 450, and a Gigabyte GA 5AX (ALI chipset)). It doesn't work in there it works perfectly in the other 3 computers I've owned and tried it in(I'm running on it right now), but this thing just won't work.
