HP cd-writer 8200 and Win 2K Ad Server

Quadraphonic Speakers & SBLive?

Running WinXP 2465. . . I like the quality of the native SBLive drivers that come with it, but they don't seem to enable my rear speakers. (even in quadraphonic mode) Installing the Win2k Liveware solves this, but the quality is substantially worse.

P3 1Ghz 100FSB on Abit BE6 II

Anyone tried or are considering using a P3 1Ghz with the 100 FSB SECCII on Abit's BE6II? I need to upgrade my P3 500 but I want it to be worth while. Any feedback with be very appreciated!.

Geforce 2 With TV out

i am looking for a geforce 2 with tv out, i if possible i would like to get a pro or even a ultra (unlikely). I have found these 2: Leadtek WinFast GeForce2 Pro 64MB - Retail for £201 but no tv out and a V770 Deluxe GeForce2 GTS DDR 32Mb TV-out AGP w/3D Glass for £193.

System Memory Performance Problem

I have a Soyo K7VTA (VIA Chipset) board running a Thundirbird 1ghz processor with 384mb of pc 133 ram on a win2k platform. My problem is that I am getting marks comparable to a PIII 600 in the memory benchmark section of SiSoft Sandra (I know that sandra isn't meant for 2000).

Here is how to fix Diskeeper 6 under Windows XP. 1. Start - Run MMC 2. Add the Disk Defragmenter snap-in: a. Menu: Console,Add/Remove Snap-in. . . b. Pick the Standalone tab. c. Pick the Add. . . button.

Media Player Bugs

2 things acctually i have noticed that media player wont open the files if u select open. the program starts up but plays the file u played last. i can work around it buy selecting open with each time, is this a known bug.

VP6, BETA 2, and ACPI

So I know that the ACPI Multi-Processor kernel was not working with my previous build of XP (2458) but has anyone got it going with 2462. I just upgraded from 2458 to 2462 so I stayed at MPS Multi-Processor.

Remembering Overclocking settings in Det12

Hi I believe this has been mentioned earlier cut I couldnt find any posts about it. In XP (and I believe in win2k) detonator 10-12 don't remember the overclocking settings. It works fine, but after reboot its forgotten and reset.

new system problem

i recently got a T-bird 1. 33ghz and an Abit KT7-a. The problem is that when i start my system it stays on for about 5 seconds then the power dies. Any clues as to what might be wrong?? Ive tried removing everything but RAM and vid card.

IE6 and cpu

I installed windows XP(2462) and everything works ok but when i connect to the net ie6 uses 95-100% of the cpu every time it loads a website. . . . shall it do this or is it a bug? I can´t surf the net and do something else at the same time.

Darn, all the drivers with all sorts of different version numbers, its really hard to understand which is which now. The 6x seris is fast and notably stable, the 7x is supposedly DX8 oriented, and now the 1x series which I don't quite understand what they are - some seem to think they are made as MS native drivers, ...

how do i get rid of this damn msn messenger, frankly it pisses me off that i cant get it out of my startup items (it comes back) and i cant uninstall it or remove it as a windows option. there has to be a way to get rid of it.
