AGP Sideband on BX with NVIDIA geo256

Is there a way to enable sidebanding for the Geoforce 256 on Win2k? I am using powerstrip and have been searching for a way to enable it. Can someone steer me in the right direction? I have searched the board and could not find anthing on sidebanding.

hi, I don't know much about dual cpu's and win2k. I have a Dual p2 400 (runs at 896, 448 each cpu). In the BIOS on the start up it runs in dual, but I don't know if win2k is running dual. I have a VD3 2000 and a Montego II quadzilla soundcard in this computer.

I saw this on as Usenet group: i know that 3dfx will bring out a v2 driver soon, as i've tested the beta versions. there will be no whql certification. it is a multimonitor driver, i. e. you must either run your only monitro off the v2 in 2d and 3d (2d is really bad quality) or have two monitors.

SBLive! Problem (non-Liveware related)

After installing Win2k on my computer (specs below) the only sound I get is a repetitve clicking (think: mouse click) noise or loud static. Win2k has it listed that I do indeed have a SB Live! card installed, and that it is 'working properly' - but I get no sound other than what I mentioned above.

Grrrr. . . I'm looking for A MUSTEK 1200 UB driver for Windows 2000. . . There is a beta driver, but its not a beta driver. . . this is the program to scan under Win2000, but not the USB driver. When I try to install Driver on the CD, I have an Error code 28 ( Driver not installed ) Impossible to find it.

Low fps with Voodoo2 under Win2K

Anyone having this problem with V2 under Win2K? I seem to be framerate capped at 40fps. It's a P2-300 w/12Mb V2. Under NT 4 or Win98 on the same system I can easily get 70-75 fps in Q2 using the Brian Hook standard timedemo w/Vsync disabled.

Weird Sidewinder Gamepad Problems in Win2k

I have been having a weird problem with win2k and my 3 Sidewinder Pads. When 1 pad is connected to the machine it works fine, when i hook up a second pad in daisy chain the second pad always has a twitch to the left.

This is what works for me. 1) Install NT. 2) Install Service Pack 3 (not 4,5, or 6) 3) Head over to and download sblnt4up. exe. 4) Install the SBLive! with the original CD-ROM that came with the card.

Anyone done any benchmarking or comparison of features between a MPS Win2k system and a Multiprocessor ACPI Win2k system? Concerned mainly about overhead of the ACPI system and multitasking benefits to be had by disabling ACPI.

Hi I just upgraded from a Voodoo3 3000 to a Creative 3D Blaster GeForce 256 Annihilator Pro. I am running Windows 2000 (2195) and have tried both the NVidia drivers and the ASUS ones. Creative don't seem to have their own drivers yet.
