AIWA TD8000 internal IDE Tape Backup

Greetings all don't know how many (if any of you) this will help but it seems that this tape drive aiwa td 8000 reports itself as a TD8000 to win2k through plug & play thus making it unusable as win2k is looking for it as a ATD8000 ! simple fix though just remove the A in \winnt\inf\tape.

On the tawain site also I noticed this announcement Windows® 2000 Drivers Microsoft® has incorporated VIA drivers into the Windows® 2000 opeating system. No new drivers are available at this time. Some users may be experiencing limited USB support with Windows® 2000.

I just installed Windows 2000 on a new computer. Formatted the Maxtor 20 gig fat 32 and the install went smooth. I dont understand why I dont have any help files. Clicking on Start Help does nothing.

Ok, I have been running win2000 professional final for a long time now, and I like to use the VoodooLights screensaver (v 1. 2. 5) For about a month it was working perfectly. Then for no apparent reason, it started screwing up.

FIC PA-2013 rev 2.0 Any problems with Windows 2000?

Reason I ask is that on the startup page on this site they listed as having install problems with the Va-503+ which is the AT version of the PA-2013 which i have. Both have the MPV3 chipset. Anyone having any problems with an FIC PA-2013 rev 2.

I still use beta 3. I downloaded the update from the HP-site but was not able to use it. . . entry point UpdateDriverForPlugAndPlayDevicesA could not be located in. . . newdev. dll So no support for USB (says HP) and no success with parallel port.

I recently upgraded my pc to a Matrox 400, and gave my Viper 550 AGP to the missus. The 550 was working perfectly in my 2000 Pro pc. I formatted her drive, installed 2195 and it loaded with 16 colours.

I cannot get windows 2000 to load the ALI PCI USB open host controller. Without this the scanner and mouse will not work. This chipset is supposed to be compatible but simply will not load. Any ideas? Windows 98 was installed on the machine and all USB equipment worked.

I'm trying to run a v770U under Windows 2000 and nothing seems to want to work. I'm using the Nvidia Detonator drivers (3. 78) and they just keep locking up. Anyone know where I can get the older drivers? PLEASE?! HELP!!!.

Touble with Win2k and Zip drive

I have an external parallel zip drive, I installed the Iomegaware and drivers for win2k and i'm able to use the drive but if I try to save a file directly to the drive it locks my computer up, have to hit restart.

NVidia Performance?

I am running the newest NVIDIA drivers for win2k. But, I would like to utilize my tvout, and see creative labs has drivers out for my TNT2 ultra. Wondering if anyone knows if there is a performance decrease with the creative labs drivers over the nvidia ones? If so, how ? BoDEAN.

New Beta Drivers for Aureal Vortex 2 Crashing

I downloaded the new drivers from Aureal for my SQ2500 and they crash my system when I enable 4 speakers in the control panel applet. I am sure I installed them correctly because I now have SP/DIF out.
