Anotehr APM/Shutdown problem (please don't kill me!)

OK, here's the story: I had approx 8 devices all sharing IRQ 9, so I switched from ACPI to standard PC (To hopefuly solve my notorious Quake 3A probs with my Vid card). This fixed the IRQ sharing probs, but now my computer won't shutdown.

Savage 4 drivers so good so far in D3d

Driver version 5. 12. 1. 8000. Some games like the UT demo menu screen is all jacked up but once in the game, it is Ok. I have had good success with Rally Chanpionship 2000 demo. No problems yet. Anyone else getting good success yet with savage 4?.

Dual Processor vs Single Processor.

i currently have a 450 P3, i was thinking of upgrading but i dont know what to go with. should i a)Buy another P3 450 and buy a dual motherboard or should i buy a new processor (not sure the speed i want).

Yamaha 4416 Problems

Hi, i got a problem with Adaptec 7850 scsi card and a Yamaha 4416 burner, i also got a Toshiba scsi cd on the same card, but win2k don´t find my yamaha burner just the toshiba. i have tried to switch id´s and so but no luck and upgraded the aspi drivers i´m ineed for some help =) i got a Abit BH-6 rev 1.

FIC PA-2013 Rev. 2.0 Windows 2000 Info (Please read)

Guys you may or may not be interested in this. I was getting ready to install Windows 2000 on my system and I wanted to make sure that my current motherboard would be up to spec so I emailed FIC techsupport and told them that I have the second newest bios available for my board.

Hi all. A quick question. I have, at the moment, the 2195 build Evaluation copy of Windows 2000 installed. I only installed it recently and it works fine (except for a blue screen error on shutdown with APM enabled.

Here's an odd one for you. . . based on my searches of the forums, no one has seem it. Installed Win2k 2195 (the real thing baby!) last night as a fresh install. . . even formatted the drive to NTFS.

OpenGL refresh rates?!

I cannot seem to change the OpenGL represh rate, stuck at 60 Hz. I couldn't find a proper key in the registry either. . . Any ideas??.

I dunno if anyone's gone over this problem before, and I've read about the ACPI thing, but seeing as you guyz have it on your own HCL I figure somebody must know how to get the AOpen AX59Pro to work under w2k (final build, all updates).

Please help! I upgraded a fresh install of Windows 98 to Windows 2000 yesterday and it won't recognise my COM1 & LPT1 ports. In Device Manager I get the message: This device is disabled because the firmware of the device did not give it the required resources.

Crackling sound in W2k!!!

My system config: - VIA MVP3 192MB SDRAM Riva TNT2 AMD K6-2 400 SBLive! 13. 6GB HD 1 PCI network card 1 ISA network card Yamaha 8424 EZ IDE CD-R drive - Now the problem. Everytime i play an MP3 with ANY player and click on my start menu, the crackling sound pops up!!! ARGH! I'm getting this with the new Dell driver ...

Okay, everyone's sick of this but I have a slightly different problem. . . I'm using the NVidia 3. 78 reference drivers and my system (P2-300, 128Mb ram, TNT2 pure 32mb, running win2k 2195) works fine.
