I've got W2K Build 2128 an I want to get my SB Live to work. In the Device Manager everything seems to be ok, but he says, there aren't drivers installed, so I did what is written here under hardware.

Am I correct in saying that the G400 under NT will only run games in software mode? I know that D3D is a no-go but it seems that matrox are too lazy to write an OpenGL driver for NT. Am I right? When I shut down Win 2000 RC2 I get the message it is now safe to turn off your computer But my case (Aopen HX-08) has an electric switch, not a mechanical switch, so it has no effect. I need to hit the reset button and reboot to the bootmenu screen.

Can anyone that actually got their Voodoo2 to work under win2000 WITHOUT using quake3 compatible drivers?? ASUS V3400TNT doesn't boot in Win2000 r2114

Does anybody know anything to do about this ??? Just before he goes in hi-res , then the screen goed blank , and the machine crashes. I'm using : Abit BH6 with a Celeron 300A @ 450MHz Asus V3400TNT (TNT 1) Daimond Monster 3DII 12MB 128MB SDRam 13,6GB WD HDD I tried too lower the speed to 300Mhz , but that doesn't help.

exiting from a glide game gives black screen

When I exit out of a glide game (Unreal), using the new suggested glide/D3D fix, I get a black screen. alt-cntl-del does not respond and I have to reboot. This is with a Voodoo 3- 3000 card. Other than that glide and D3D works fine with these drivers but it is a major annoyance.

Here I am again, this time with Win2k RC2 and well now it seems to run great but i keep getting Blue screens with xmode_exception not handled errors I have the hardware acceleration all the wAy down as per the other post(MX300) about duel celerons freezing but i have no idea whats causing these errors.

Has anyone gotten this particular device to work under Windows 2000? Since there's no built in drivers, I've tried using the NT4 and win95/98 drivers to no avail. Any suggestions are welcomed/appreciated.

enabling banshee D3D/glide

Hi, I managed to enable banshee D3D/glide on RC2(build2128). It's very simple. Use build 2114 banshee driver(banshee. sys, banshee. dll) for Banshee_NT5_D3D&Glide inf file(1999/8/20). If you don't have build2114, dl the driver from * change extention(gif) to rar and extract.

How do i create a MS-DOS boot partition?

Here's my setup: 4 GB SCSI drive that has a 3. 8 GB NTFS partition with RC2 on it and a 200 MB FAT partion. 18 GB ATA drive (FAT32). Everytime I try to install win98se on the 18 BG drive it gives me an error that I need a MS-DOS boot partition.

how do I overclock my tnt in win2k?

I have a herc tnt and I dont know how to overclock it in win2k I looked through the registry for the key but couldnt find it. I also dont want to use powerstrip, I dont seem to like that proggie. I use the asus drivers as of now, win2k 2072.
