I've been having problems installing w2k on a new bp6 with 2 cel400's(stock) and a maxtor 40gig 66 hd. I have tried NJ and QQ2 bios versions but with no luck. It wouldn't install with hd hooked to ide66 channel so I switched to 33, the install process went as far as it's first reboot and gets hung at Verifying DMI ...

Hiya guys, I found this really cool plugin for winamp that decodes mp3's into the memory of the awe cards, then it can use the emu8000 effects on them (the ones that were available for midi). . . i got this plug in down at winamp.

directx problems. please help!

I need to say that everything was working dandy until about 2 days ago when all of a sudden my computer pauses when I try to play any windows media files. So I ran dxdiag and when i do the directdraw tests it freezes the same way.

HELP! I've got w2k for a few weeks running and I like it a lot, everything works great. . . but I do have 1 problem. . none of my games works in w2k pro. WHY ?? I've got a 3dfx voodoo banshee, also tried with a voodoo3 2000 but every time I start a game like prince persia3d, driver, halflife, etc it pop up an error ...

New Guillemot Drivers

I just recently downloaded the new Guillemot 3. 78 w2k drivers. As far as crashing on the desktop no problem at all. But opengl well lets say it reboots my computer. Every driver i've tried i get a bsod even if i try to run a opengl screensaver.

Gaming controllers under Win2k, what works?

Still waiting for gaming device manufacturers to get with the program as far as their drivers are concerned. . . I am used to using a SpaceOrb for my game controlling needs (Quake3, UT, Half-Life) buy the drivers are not there, and no date has been set for release.

How do i change irq being used

On my acpi computer, acpi apperently will not let me change my irq numbers on hardware. does anyone know how i can chage the numbers, becasue i have 5 thing using irq 11 and i get a bsod in quake 3 sometimes telling me that Driver IRQL Not Less Or Equal.

I have a cable modem on my Win2k box. I would like to share the connection, but when I click on the connection in my network properties, there is no sharing tab. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance, Keith.

Win2K and W98 Networking: Can't see each other?

I`m running W2K Pro retail on one box and win98SE on another. If I dualboot w/ W98SE, my network between the two was fine. However if I run win2k, and keeping the same settings (TCP/IP), i am unable to see the win98 box on the network (or see the W2K box from the W98 box.

Shutdown/Power-off w/ Abit BP6?

When I do a shutdown in W2K Pro retail, the PC won't power-off like it does w/ W98SE (I have dual-boot). I have a researched this problem in the forums, but I couldn't find a straight answer that seemed to help.

In liveware, how do i allow multiple inputs to be active, like the cd audio and line in at the same time, when i try to select line in, it just mutes the cd audio. Please help Ultrix.

X10's wireless cameras - work in Win2k?

I'm about to purchase one or more X10 wireless cameras. Does the software work in Windows 2000? I'm hoping to set up a server that receives video from multiple cameras. Yeah, issue number two is supporting multiple cameras on one machine.
