Win2K and Linux

hi everyone, I have one hard drive , 4 partitions : c: NTFS5 , Windows 2000 d: applications e: data f: 2Gb free I would like to install Linux (Suse 6. 3) on my 2Gb partition and i was wondering once it's done how to add Linux in the win 2000 boot menu.

Pb with Photoshop in SMP

I get a strange pb with Photoshop on my dual PIII 450, whenever I launch it, if i try to fill a new image with a color i get a crash with no BSOD or anything else, it just hangs up and stop. I tried with only one proc and this time it works great.

Uniprocessor vs Multiprocessor?

I've just installed Win2K final (as downloaded from MSDN) and find that the processor type reported by the checking tool says Uniprocessor Free. Also, when Windows starts an entry is put into the event log calling it the Uniprocessor Free version.

apcompat.exe does it work?

ive tried to use the support tool apcompat. exe on many different applications and games but it seems to crash on everything was this ever tested to work???.

Here I am again! Ok, here's the situation. I want to set up many users on my computer. While I fully understand how to do this, I am running into a problem. Whenever one of my users log on, nearly half of the shortcuts in the start menu become unusable.

ACPI after Nero 4.0.8.5

Hi ! I installed Nero CD 4. 0. 8. 3. . think thats the right version (dl yesterday). Now i have no hibernation support. . . eg. Win2k say it has problems with the Adaptec Controller ? Why ??? Befor Nero it works fine c ya Snoop win2k build 2195 ASUS P2B bios revision 1.

Packet Writing in Win2k

I just clean installed win2k - what a great feeling <g> - but haven't put any cd burning apps back on. I know directcd will work but it screws up hibernation. Error in KERNEL386.EXE.. HELP!

Ok. . this is a huge problem for me, as this happens in the one program I need the MOST. . . the program runs everything fine. . but when I click on PRINT (By the way, I got the latest printer drivers and I CAN PRINT), but when I click on print, the program crashes causing a general protection fault in KERNEL386.

i have a Voodoo 3 3000 AGP. i'm using NT drivers for it. when i pop in the cd and install the 3dfx tools it installs successfully and it restarts. when i go to control panel and open up 3dfx tools everything is blank.

how to manually define hosts?

This is what I want to do: Set up a network name, and assign an IP to it on my computer such that my computer will go to that IP if i attempt to connect to that network name, instead of trying to find it through DNS.

Microsoft Global IME on win2k

The software update for Internet Explorer 5 called Microsoft Global IME for Japanese (that is an update to be able to read and write e-mails in japanese for example) doesn't want to install under Win2k.
