VShell can be used for secure network access, system administration, and file transfer. Ping Monitor is used for trouble shooting TCP/IP connected computers. The program allows the user to create a list of IP addresses then periodically ping each computer at a user specified time interval.
If the host computer fails to reply to a ping request, the program can trigger different alert messages and alarms; including e-mail, run third-party programs, send an alpha-numeric page, or communicate
over the network to a remote computer. Also, the program can perform a full traceroute and who is domain name search to assist in identifying which network node is causing the bottleneck. Additionally, the program displays a time and date stamp of the minimum, maximum, average, and standard deviation of a ping Round-Trip Times (RTT).Also, the program provides real-time graphing of up to 10 host computers. The program runs as minimized system tray program.
