ThinkComputers: Creative Sound Blaster X4 Review

When I built my first PC back in 2002, you HAD to get an add-in sound card if you wanted any semblance of quality audio, which led me to buying a Creative Sound Blaster card to go with my Athlon XP system. Well, here we are 20 years later, and Creative is still a major player in the PC audio game, and in this review we are taking at look at the Sound Blaster X4, a 7.1 external USB DAC and amp sound card.

TechPowerUp: Sonos Five Review - An Instant Crowd-Pleaser

The $550/€600 Sonos Five is the most expensive, but also most powerful "traditional" wireless speaker Sonos offers. It's an entertaining speaker with impressive bass extension and enough volume to fill any room with a rich, lively sound.

LanOC Reviews: MSI MEG CoreLiquid S280

My first introduction to MSI being in the water cooling market was the MAG CoreLiquid C280 which had its pump mounted in the middle of the radiator which at first seemed weird but does end up being a great solution for those bottom mounting their radiator and trying to avoid having the pump as the highest point. So I’m excited to see what MSI has going on with the MEG CoreLiquid S280 that they sent over. Today I’m going to check out what it’s all about then put it through our test suite to see how it performs so let’s dive in!

LanOC Reviews: Asus ProArt X570-Creator WiFi

The X570 chipset was launched back in 2019 and even today this is still the flagship chipset to go with the most recent refreshed CPU launches from AMD. Asus did release a few new X570 boards which brought a few of the newer features we have been seeing on other platforms and one of the boards included in that launch which was last August was the ProArt X570-Creator WiFi and it caught my eye because while it did have high-end features, its styling is a nice change from the standard “gamer” focus of most higher-end boards. The ProArt X570-Creator has support for the upcoming Ryzen 7 5800X3D with BIOS updates and I’m curious to see if it might be a nice option if you are planning a build with the upcoming CPU.

Anandtech: The PowerWalker VI 1500 CSW UPS Review: Trying For True Sinewave on a Budget

While Uninterruptible Power Supplies are hardly a new thing in the PC space, the tried-and-true battery backups for desktop PCs have been undergoing a resurgence in popularity in recent years. Improvements in power delivery technology such as GaNs have been reducing costs and improving reliability, and meanwhile lithium-ion batteries, with their much greater energy density/lower volume, are starting to make inroads on the UPS market as well. All the while, with laptops outselling desktops in the consumer PC market, a PC that doesnt shut itself down during a power outage is becoming the norm, rather than the exception. So what better time is there to take a look at UPSes?
