Accelerated Ray Tracing: Testing NVIDIA’s RTX In Blender 2.81 Alpha

NVIDIA's RTX features may be a bit of a slow starter in games, but on the creative side, it's a different story. We're taking a look at Blender's latest 2.81 alpha build and see NVIDIA's OptiX render engine in action, leveraging the power of the RT cores to accelerate ray traced workloads. The results are impressive.

Black Shark 2 Review

Over the last 1-2 years we’ve seen a new type of smartphone category start carving itself a niche in the market: the gaming smartphone. Last year, the original Black Shark was amongst the first devices to try to cater to a gaming audience, offering characteristic “gaming designs” as well as promising to offer software features to differentiate itself from the more usual smartphone offerings.

This year, Xiaomi has updated its Black Shark line and brand with the new Black Shark 2. The phone is very much a continuation of what we saw last year with the Black Shark, but offering the newest hardware innards and iterative improvements to the design and features.

Camera Comparison: iPhone 11 Pro Max vs iPhone XS Max

Apple's new iPhone 11 Pro Max is similar in design to the previous-generation iPhone XS Max, with the exception of a significantly upgraded camera system.

Cooler Master V Series 750 W Gold Review

The Cooler Master V750 Gold sports excellent transient response at +12V, which is what matters the most with real-life applications. However, it costs more than its competitors, and availability in the US market is restricted due to Trump's recent tariffs on all products made in China.

Cougar Panzer EVO RGB Review

The Cougar Panzer EVO RGB is an evolution of the original Panzer G, which was followed up by the Panzer EVO and now an RGB-equipped variant, the Panzer EVO RGB. It keeps the bulky, elaborate design, its signature handles and plenty of glass to boot.

EK Waterblocks Classic RGB P360 Watercooling Kit Review

One of the biggest names in PC Watercooling is EK. They rose through the ranks during the watercooling land rush when the hobby started to gain traction and hardware enthusiasts were inventing block designs, experimenting with automotive heater cores and arguing about what it took to get the best performance. Names such as Danger Den, Asetek, PolarFlo, Thermalright and Swiftech were driving the market in the US while EK was doing the same in Europe.

As with many niche markets the cost of doing business is high, especially when you are dealing with the PC world. Many experienced hardware enthusiasts will experiment with bleeding edge technologies while other more reserved pc builders will stick with what they know or what they learn about from friends.

Fractal Design Vector RS Case Review

Fractal Design (or, simply, Fractal as they shift corporate identity) has long been known in the enthusast community for outstanding enclosure design and performance. Their Define series has received considerable acclaim, and while there are certainly those who prefer the functional and minimalist design of cases like the Define R6 (and eschewing even the tempered glass side panel in favor of a solid, insulated panel), Fractal has moved with the industry into some more aesthetically inspired designs.

When we looked at the Define S2 Vision RGB case earlier this year, a design with no fewer than four tempered glass panels and a lofty $239.99 USD price tag, it was a very different product than previous Fractal enclosures we’d reviewed. Though a well-constructed example of the glass-on-all-sides approach to case design, its thermal performance came at the cost of some pretty high noise levels by Fractal standards.

G.Skill Trident Z Neo 3600 Mhz DDR4 Review

When it comes to high-performance memory, G.Skill is one of the best in the business. They continue to smash world records for ultra-fast memory products, extreme overclocking and more. Theyre a big hit with many enthusiasts for that reason. However, regular consumers like you and I can enjoy some of their products too.

G.Skill TridentZ NEO DDR4 3600 MHz Review

We review what can be considered some very beautiful DDR4 memory intended for the Ryzen platform, of course from G.Skill. It's available in multiple frequencies and timings, we test the 3600 MHz kit. With XMP 2.0 memory profiles on Intel platforms as well as support for AMD Ryzen, we check a memory type that sets and defines a standard in style and design.

How to Setup a Twitch Stream for Online Slots

Live streaming site Twitch is incredibly popular and in August 2019, it was averaging 1,342,559 million concurrent visitors, who tuned in to watch a total of 999 million hours of content in the month. While many of these streamers are streaming video games such as Fortnite, League of Legends, and World of Warcraft, games such as poker, blackjack and slots have grown in popularity too. Being a streamer can be lucrative, as companies will sometimes pay to sponsor a stream. It can also be great to find new friends and become part of a community, but if you’d like to become an online slot streamer, there are a few things you’ll need to do first.

Phanteks Eclipse P360X Mid-Tower Chassis Review

Phanteks is one of those companies that makes some excellent case options. That being said, have not checked anything from Phanteks out since 2017 with the Evolv mATX and the Evolv shift mini-ITX monolith style case. Today we have the newest in the eclipse series, the Eclipse P360X. The P360X is based around very similar styling to other eclipse chassis on the market. It carries this a bit further with differentiated front panel airflow design and of course addressable RGB. The P360X is made for users looking for a solid value option chassis that carries Phanteks quality and design considerations for what makes a Phanteks chassis sought after. Phanteks customers tend to be a very dedicated breed. Many of those who like the styling or features enough that they are willing to fully modify the chassis to fit their custom liquid cooling within the chassis. Whereas other users would find it more sensible to use a chassis designed to fit what they want. Building that kind of customer base is not easy, so it's a clear sign that Phanteks has a good handle on what PC builders want.

SK Hynix Gold S31 1TB SSD Review

It can be concluded that, while this drive isn't suited for enterprise or any mission-critical workloads (as no consumer drive should be), it does fall under the prosumer category right next to the Samsung Pro SSD lineup. It is rated for an astounding 600 TB write endurance, 1.5 Million Hours MTB, and has a five-year warranty. It is basically an enterprise SSD, just without ECC DRAM cache and far less over-provisioning.
