HP EliteBook x360 1030 G3 Review

HP's premium business convertible put to the test. HP's EliteBook x360 has served as a top-class business laptop for a good number of years, and having been impressed with earlier models, we're intrigued to see what upgrades are in the store for the 2019 refresh dubbed the x360 1030 G3. A starting price of around £1,500 is to be expected given the EliteBook's position as a premium solution, and seeing as the previous-generation model was eminently likeable, it is no surprise to find a feeling of familiarity with this year's update.

Intel unveils its Optane Memory M15 series

The Optane Memory M15 shows a pretty significant performance boost compared to the existing M10 series, mostly due to the PCIe 3.0 x4 interface. This pushed the sequential read and write performance to up to 2,000MB/s and 900MB/s, respectively. The random 4K read and write now peaks at up to 450K IOPS and 220K IPS, respectively.
The new Optane M15 series is still based on a standard M.2 2280 form factor and still offers the same endurance rating of 200GB WPD or up to 365 TWB. It still supports Intel's 7th gen or newer platform and is backed by the same 5-year warranty.

Thermaltake Commander C36 TG ARGB Case Review

Following on from our last review on their Pacific TF1, today, we will be taking a look at one of Thermaltake’s new Cases by way of the Commander C36. The new C-series of cases comes in six different variances, all of which have a different front panel. Featuring dual 200mm 5V ARGB front intake fans, Thermaltake is looking to shake things up a bit with these cases. Having a pair of 200mm fans in the front is massive, not only do they offer some amazing airflow, but they will also be quieter than smaller fans. With room for an ATX motherboard and boasting a 4mm Tempered Glass side panel, the Commander series has a lot going for it. However, before we give away too much, let’s just take a closer look at one of Thermaltake’s latest offerings.
