ok, i'm trying to get both win98 and nt4 on the same comp, with one harddrive. so what i did was formatt and partition my HD, then install 98, and then NT. but after installing NT, and rebooting, my computer stalls after it posts.

just a thought for build 2114 users

u should use build 2072. People should not be using build 2114 unless 2072 just will NOT run for them. Build 2114 is an inbetween rc1 and rc2, its not meant for use as a rc1 os, its meant to be used for testing previous incompatibilitys with 2072, that MAY work with 2114.

My Viper550 wont boot into svga mode in w2k build 2031. . . I can hit f8 at bootup and select vga mode and it works great. ive tried every tnt driver there is and none of them work. any ideas? When I let it boot to svga mode everything goes blank after the loading progress screen(says win2k pro on it) and it hangs ...

Tiberian Sun compatibility?

I note that someone has posted a message saying that they can't get Tiberian Sun to run using DX5. But it also says that it runs under NT in the game section of this site. Does anyone have any official word from Westwood as to whether NT is supported? I couldn't find a thing on their website.

SMP Problems with Q3 and V3 2000 agp

I'm really curious as to why i'm unable to run smp with q3 with the current drivers from 3dfx. Is it the drivers themselves or is it something i'm doing wrong? Currently i'm running nt4 workstation, sp5, 128mg mircon pc100, and a v3 2000 agp.

I have a meaty setip (P3-450, 196Mb, G200) but Quake 3 runs very choppy under NT, but runs a dream under Win98, anyone have any suggestions on how to fix it?

High CPU Util at idle?

After feeling secure w/ build 2031, I put build 2072 on my dual PII 400, ASUS P2B-D system. Now I have abnormally high CPU utilization numbers just sitting idle. Has anyone seen this or know how to fix it? I'm not using DHCP, no modem, sound, just a nic card, nothing fancy.

3Com 3c503 NIC in Win2000?

Hi~ The NIC in my PC is an older ISA model from 3Com (3c503) and it is not detected automatically by Windows 2000 (build 2114). I checked their website, and not only are there no Win2k drivers available for my card, e-mail support is non-existant.

stuttering sound in games

hi all I'm using w2k(2072), with TNT2 & SBLive!, and with almost every games the sound sounds crappy, with clicks, stuttering etc. . I guess it has something to do with directX, but I'm not sure. . Does anyone has the same pb ? any solutions around that ?.
